Public servants think they own We the People… they violate our unalienable rights at gun point everyday. The only thing I would tell this servant is what the consequences will be for violating my rights. Title 18 USC sections 241-242 and Title 42 USC section 1983. 18 U.S.C. Section 242 makes it a crime for government officials to willfully deprive individuals of their constitutional rights while acting under the authority of law. Violations can result in fines and imprisonment, with penalties increasing if bodily injury or death occurs as a result of the actions. Title 42 U.S.C. Section 1983 is a federal law that allows individuals to sue state and local government officials for civil rights violations. It provides a legal remedy for those whose rights, privileges, or immunities guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution have been infringed upon by someone acting under state authority.

That's got to be the most money anyone made that town, in 1 minute, since the town was founded.

No need to travel outside the US to experience banana republic vibes. In a functioning constitutional republic that cop would face an execution squad for violating a citizens rights But here we are , hiring the absolutely stupidest individuals who have no idea what the oath they take constitutes.

This happened only just a month ago. The court case has to go ahead, the local case overturned on appeal & then a lawsuit against this cop much, much later. This was an obvious example of an arrest for first amendment retaliation. Watch…

The auditor was clearly on the easement since there was no sidewalk. Yes, that may be private property, but as an easement he has every right to be there, and taking photos or video in public is not a crime. This cop just cost the county a lot of money.

Color of Law , Treasonous, there is no expectation of privacy in public, and you cannot Trespass someone off of public property unless they committed a crime.

I'm just willing to bet you've never handled a civil rights lawsuit against the police.

I think this is cut from a Predator Catch. Old man was creeping on two different decoys I believe, and he admitted it on that guys camera. Old man called the police and tried to get the police officers to hand over the phone so he could delete the gathered evidence.

The 5th amendment is for testifying in court and is only used in regards to self incrimination. This is not a 5th amendment scenario.

So many policy officers are clueless about the law. A massive re-education of “law enforcement” is desperately needed.

How are cops this fucking ignorant of the Constitution in 2026 after the 1000’s upon thousands of videos showing that filming in public is constitutionally protected?? Willful and purposeful ignorance and laziness.

The cop and the fat guy know each other. That wasn't a request from the fat guy that was a declaration, and the cop responded. Immediately, he called his buddy in here to arrest the guy that being said, these YouTubers are harassing ordinary people for no reason. Fuck em

There's no easy payday in these situations. Almost impossible to find a lawyer willing to sue the town and police dept. in front of a judge in a location where he practices. Often these guys must file and represent themselves. 1st judge throws out 90% of this. Appeals cost $$$.

The bigger issue is how many cops are completely unaware of the basic bill of rights.

Was he on private property after being asked to leave though? If so I don't see how this is a payday. Cops were called out to remove a trespasser, he removed the trespasser and correctly refused to hand his phone over to the complainant.

In many southern states, property owners own to the center of the road or street. There may be a right of way, but a local judge, like the police may interpret your being there as trespassing.
