Easy way to make outline with compositing. Depth+Sobel → factor, Diffuse Direct+Overlay → color of line. If your Shader is effective by light's color, overlay color could be just black. Use another mix node's clamp to solve color problem. #blender #compositing

While contrast-color() only returns black or white, there are workarounds! If you register a new custom property, you can use style queries for full color palette customization (but make sure to test the contrast yourself!) Another technique is using the contrast-color() value inside of color-mix() to provide a tint variant. This demo shows method 1 where you can get warmer light colors and blue-tinted darks instead of pure black and white. Cons: Firefox doesn't support style queries yet so browser support is limited for now (though it is an Interop 2026 feature!).

Just look at the new Compositing in Blender 5.2. This is cool. Now the compositor can play sequence animation in real-time right in the compositor, and look at this, I'm doing color grading while the animation is playing. On top of that, the overall performance of the Compositor has grown a lot, and it now works at a level where you don't need to use DaVinci Fusion and can work fully in Blender. Because now Blender can definitely do that. Blender 🔶 This is an awesome update! Maybe you will think about adding the ability to move images in Compositing just by dragging them with the mouse, in some of the next updates...

Eric Rohmer on the use of Colour in "La Collectionneuse" (1967) and "Claire's Knee" (1970): "I didn't use color as a dramatic element, as some filmmakers have done. For me it's something inherent in the film as a whole. I think that in 'La Collectionneuse' (1967) color above all heightens the sense of reality and increases the immediacy of the settings. In this film color acts in an indirect way; it's not direct and there aren't any color effects, as there are for example in Bergman's most recent film, his second one in color, where the color is very deliberately worked out and he gets his effects mainly by the way he uses red. I've never tried for dramatic effects of this kind, but. for example, the sense of time-evening, morning, and so on-can be rendered in a much more precise way through color. Color can also give a stronger sense of warmth, of heat, for when the film is in black-and-white you get less of a feeling of the different moments of the day, and there is less of what you might call a tactile impression about it. In 'Claire's Knee' (1970), I think it works in the same way: the presence of the lake and the mountains is stronger in color than in black-and-white. It's a film I couldn't imagine in black-and-white. The color green seems to me essential in that film, I couldn't imagine it without the green in it. And the blue too-the cold color as a whole. This film mould have no value for me in black-and-white. It's a very difficult thing to explain. It's more a feeling I have that can't be reasoned out logically." Black woman called me disgusting after my reaction to Karmelo Anthony supporters saying they would defend him regardless of the facts. I get told I shouldn’t criticize Black people because I’m Black. Sit with how strange that is. The same person calling me a sellout just handed me a set of required opinions based on nothing but my skin color and then called me the problem. The bottom line is it’s not the skin color that’s the problem it’s the culture.

What if we could edit our gradients right inside the color space? The dashed line is the intended path, and the solid line is how it's mapped to the sRGB gamut. In LCH/OKLCH gradients it's easy to fall out of sRGB, even if starting points are valid colors.

🦌 i think burgundy/wine color suits me too. wine color just… seems to go well with everything. colors in the red family are a bit… well red is such a strong and intense color the moment you see it right. 🦌 so when you dye your hair that color, it feels like it might make your image even more intense. 🦌 i don’t think my face looks that strong or sharp so it kind of balances things out. (*he’s saying his features are softer so the strong hair color ends up balancing his overall look instead of making him look overly intense)

The problem with Brian "Lucky" Lofgran's testimony is he was coerced and intimidated by the Blogger. I don't believe he ever saw a Ford Edge outside of 34 Fairview. The Edge likely was suggested to him since the Albert's owned Ford Edge vehicles, but lucky didn't say the right color. Yes, I know Luck is color blind, but color blind people know grey from black. He said Grey. The Albert's vehicles were black. Anyway, I dont think such a vehicle was ever there. This is what happens when witness intimidation occurs. Jerod Mayo is the 1st Black Head Coach of the New England Patriots and he doesn’t shy away from it or any issues about race in our country. “I do see color because I believe if you don’t see color, you can’t see racism…I want you to be able to go up to those people and understand those people….Whatever it is Black, White, Yellow it really doesn’t matter, but it does matter so we can try to fix the problem that we all know we have.” He isn’t scared to say it with his chest. He is STANDING ON BUSINESS.
