We better get Saliba sorted soon…otherwise we may run into the same issue…

If his contract runs out in 2027 he has two years left on it… Am I missing something here?

We're going into the 25/26 PL season in just over a month, next season (26/27) will be his last under contract so in my opinion, it's unlikely clubs will be willing to pay the release clause next summer. If CPFC want to maximise his value, now is when they will get closest to top whack imo.

Hmm not sure I agree with this. Two years to wait is still a long time, and by that point he’d be 29. He’ll be looking to move before then. I can understand them dropping the price next summer, but I can’t see them dropping it too much this window.

What is it with Arsenal and buying players , everything has to be about penny pinching , we bid a sum we know will never be accepted then wait weeks before going back , other clubs seem to get deals done with less fuss , I mean it took 3 months to get merino deal done last year
