Drake took aim at Ebro Darden following his announcement that his Hot 97 morning show was cancelled. Last Friday (Dec. 12), Ebro jumped on his Instagram page and revealed that his Ebro in the Morning Show had been cancelled after 13 years of being on the air. Drake appears to have enjoyed watching Ebro explain why his show was ending. In a post by Toronto-based IG page KeepSixSolid about Ebro's video, Drizzy dropped an axe emoji in the comments. On Sunday (Dec. 14), Ebro caught wind of Drake's comment and responded by accusing the 6 God of being a conservative along with Drake confidant DJ Akademiks. "Drake is ‘right wing,' and so is sAK," he wrote on X, formerly Twitter. On Monday (Dec. 15), Ebro posted another response to Drake on X, typing an axe emoji vs an ice cube, signifying Drake's upcoming album titled Iceman. Ebro in the Morning co-host Peter Rosenberg also chimed in with his thoughts on Drake's axe emoji, writing on X, "It's behavior like this that has made it impossible for people to defend the wack sh*t that he does …."
