Ed Miliband’s plan to decarbonise the grid by 2030 is based on increasing the carbon price to £147 per tonne of carbon dioxide emitted. As I said in my speech last night, that would mean the destruction of industry in this country (1/4).

Yesterday Britain's energy intensive industries told the Industry Minister that they "will not be able to bear" the carbon price assumptions in the NESO report on decarbonising the grid by 2030.

Having claimed the NESO report was “proof” his plans are achievable, under pressure from my colleague @BradleyThomasUK Miliband recently said he "doesn't endorse" the £147 figure.

Yet last night when I challenged the Climate Minister she couldn't tell me - and those great British industries worrying about their survival - whether the Government will increase the carbon price to £147 per tonne or not.

I've said it before: Ed Milliband will eventually be sacked for being a expense that HMG and especially the wider public can do without.

And also in LaLa Land we will be importing 4million+ unskilled migrants to add to the already unsustainable Welfare Bill:

Miliband just got a call from the WEF. He immediately bent over and grabbed the vaseline!

@YorkshireLady3 I really don’t understand this suicidal policy, when it all goes wrong and the economy actually collapses, is he just going to say ‘Oops, sorry, my bad!’?

Ultimately the market for carbon is set by supply and demand. There are a limited number of ways it could get that high. 1. Massive growth in industry so demand outstrips supply of allowances (lol) 2. The Gov reduce the cap further than currently planned. 3. Expanding the scheme without increasing allowances. But in reality I don't see any way it could get to £147 without some serious sabotage.

Sadly it was your government from just a few months ago that supported and enacted all the net zero communism.
