Eddie Murphy pulled up to Saturday Night Live after over thirty years & absolutely fucking crushed it. This episode became an instant classic the second it aired in December ‘19. Murphy’s humor is effortless. He makes it look so easy. The man’s been doing it for four decades.

Wouldn’t mind seeing this as a full length movie

Crazy thing is, the moment he walked on stage it felt like he never left. The timing, the ease, the swagger it was all still there. That episode reminded everyone why Eddie’s on a completely different level. Four decades in and still unmatched.

Lmao it’s funny because it’s real. We host Christmas every year and every year we say it’s the last year. I scream this room is off limits annually 🤣

I’ve watched this 3x and it gets funnier each time… they all did they thing

Funny thing is, both things are true. Yes, we get on each other's nerves, get in the way, get stressed, and even fight, but what Pop said was true. Cherish those times together, because they fade all too quickly. As for Matthew, what do we know about him really? How'd they meet?

lopped off the best bit at the end - Eddie's expression when Mikey calls him 'Dad'

That was a funny sketch, but IMHO they saved the best sketch for last. This was classic Eddie Murphy. #itdontmatterwhatmynameis #santaknew

Would you expect any less from Eddie Murphy?

His "James Brown in the hot tub" is one of my all-time favorites. 🎶Too hot in the hot tub....!

Eddie’s 2019 SNL return was legendary. He just walked on set and owned it like no time had passed. Four decades in and he’s still the king. Btw, find out were all his movies are showing in your country on Spready for free.

This was so excellent b/c it is so accurate and is 200% true. And these are the so-called happy, successful, normal, regular families.

He did. Is there any actor who has more range with his energy?

Sure was a nice treat since 2020 was wretched.

Eddie's comedic genius just flows naturally after all these years. True legend energy right there.

I love me some Eddie Murphy dawg

When you're skilled, you're skilled.

Eddie Murphy is 1 of the BEST

Aaah Christmas and Mom warning us to behave and not look at people cross eyed 🤣🤣🤣🤣you told me you don’t like him why he here eating and y’all Hihiiii Hahaaa 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Legendary!!!

Docu is solid. Even though I was in my prime same time as his, I don't think I realized just how big of an entity he was. SNL star, atop the music charts, hit movies and most watched standup specials.

Eddie is an Amazingly talented artist much like the team @Aptos. different category's but talent is talent none the less

Funniest thing I’ve seen on SNL in years

After going to see a comedian the other night I was just saying to my friend how great it would be if eddy took it back on the road again. All us Gen x’er’s a would sell him out!

That was corny and went on too long. Is maya Rudolph not white?

I forgot that SNL can be funny when it wants to.

My brother and I watched him when he 1st started on #SNL Until the day he died whenever we saw his face we would immediately start laughing. When I saw his first scene in his magnificent serious role in Dream Girls I couldn’t help it. I busted out laughing.

he is a treasure a gift to the World guaranteed to make you laugh. i hope he always receives his accolades and flowers.

He’s so good

As a teenager Eddie Murphy was my favourite actor comedian everything. His stand up RAW was hilarious and I must have listened to that a thousand times through high school. Knew every punch line. Didn’t matter that he was black, had no idea about racism back then, none of us did. All we knew was he was funny AF and we all loved it.

We need more Eddie Murphy!🤞🤞

I’m dead

Eddie on Netflix was awesome.
