Im fine with every 15 minutes if the streamer got ad revenue. Alot of my chat sub so they dont even see the ads

Vibzlo7 days ago

the stutter shows he knows they are scheming

doug7 days ago

Ads were always coming, just wish we could pay from our sub revenue to turn them off. I’d take a 50/50 sub split for no ads.

eboy7 days ago

worst part about ads is that they seemed to drop them in key moments on stream, weird how that timing worked out always

phixion7 days ago

what happened about doing things different? pretty sure he said no full screen ads...

Jay 👑💫7 days ago

If that’s the direction they are going then we need something like twitch turbo with perks to block the ads

Showtime Johnson7 days ago

He keeps saying he's going to do things different but always just copies them

Smitty7 days ago

They should be paying the streamers a percentage of ad revenue i haven’t heard of anyone getting paid from it. So what’s the point?

MostDegenClips7 days ago

🚨 Asmongold speaks on Twitch adding more ADS to the website, destroying the viewers experience and not creating profit for streamers! "You can't tab out to your second monitor. You need to sit there and watch it. The next step is when they do an ID check, you won't be able to look away from the ad. You won't be able to watch your video." "They want to get rid of adblock. They will make not watching ads more intrusive. Some people will still try to avoid ads but it will take up too much time." "You will have an increase in money from these intrusive ads but that money will never reach the creator." "We are god. If we get enough people together. We can just say if you have ads , we will arrest you and fine you some money."

We asked Josh Wolfe about the founding thesis of Lux Capital. "Every 10-15 years, there's some secular wave in technology. In the 70s, it was PCs. In the 80s, it was biotech. In the 90s, it was TMT (tech, media, telecom)." "Our view was that the next wave is going to be the physical material sciences and where they intersect with computer science." "And it won't just be Stanford and MIT. We will have talents from Georgia Tech, Michigan, UT Austin, etc." "To this day, I remember every person who said yes or no (to our first fund). Every $100,000 check. Today, we manage $5.5B, and I still remember those early days."

There used to be a time when the upcoming PSL season was hyped up by ads with Pakistani players in it. We are less than a week away from the season opener.. why can’t we see any of these ads now?

Mizkif reveals that Kai Cenat is making $50,000,000+ per year & reveals that streamers make far more from ads than they do from subs. Says that he made $10,000,000 from his Mafiathon 3 alone. "He's probably making over $50,000,000 per year." "Let's do the math, his goal is to hit 1,000,000 subscribers and people go oh my god that is where the money is... that is not where the money is at all he is making way more money with ads." "Guys like Kai Cenat run 22 minutes of ads an hour, it should not even be legal to do that." "That means every 8 minutes you are watching 3 minutes of ads. They do that because they want you to subscribe or watch the ads" "If Kai gets 1 million subs this month, he will get $3.5 per sub that is $3.5 million, I promise you that with the ad revenue it is probably double that and that is not even including brand deals."

This is a combination of Steve Jobs’ (1) The storyteller is the most powerful person in the world and Jeff Bezos’ (2) Invest in things that won’t change: “A company is just a fiction You make some filing and you say "We're a corporation today even though we're just two people sitting around a couch and we have a few dollars in a bank account.” And if these fictions are intended to grow to tens of thousands of people it should be because there is some common purpose. There is something that in aggregate, the sum of the parts of all the people working together should be able to move something further than anyone alone could do. And the role of a leader is to go and assert how will we measure ourselves? If we are seeking to be our best and get better every day how should we think about that, and how can we understand our forward progress? I don't know what Ramp will look like exactly in 100 years but I think just as it was true 100 years ago people always wanted more out of every dollar and more out of every hour, I think people will absolutely still want that in 100 years —in whatever form that may take.”

Ben Thompson (Ben Thompson) says the fact that OpenAI hasn't already put ads in GPT is a poor decision that "risks the entire company." "They could have launched the world's crappiest ads in 2023. By today, in 2026, the ads would be good. They'd be making money, and people wouldn't rebel against it." "Now, they're going to have to launch ads, they're going to suck, and people are going to be like 'This sucks, I'll just go to Gemini.'"
