Gilbert Arenas tells a story of him cooking the 2006 USA team in a scrimmage: “Now, you got to remember cooking is any bucket I score. You got look at this. This is the best 5 I’ve ever played against. This the best 5 ever. Think about the 5 I’m practicing against. I would never ever, ever as a NBA player ever play against a 5 like that to test my talent. Right? Remember, I’m playing against a second unit in practice, right? So, this is the best 5 I’mma ever play against. So, I took this sh*t seriously, right? I knew I wasn’t getting on the court, right? One, I got Adidas on. Two, I probably shouldn’t have been there, but the fact that I’m there, I got to take advantage of it, right? So, you got now, look at my team. Kirk Hinrich. Antawn Jamison. He ain’t getting the ball, right? He already know the rule. I got Brad Miller and Joe Johnson. Elton was on that team, I didn’t pass him the ball either. Chris Bosh was with you guys. Joe Johnson was with you guys, too. So I had Shane Battier and Bruce Bowen. So you see my 5 they can’t create nothing. So what coach kept doing is putting their a** in a zone. So you know we’re playing international. So they in the zone. OH THEY AIN’T GOT NOBODY TO GUARD ME. AND IT’S A LITTLE SHORTER. SWING THAT B***H OVER HERE. SWING IT OVER HERE. So, I got every shot because I don’t have anybody that’s shooting the ball on my team. So, the score is like 21-9, I got 9. I’m killing I don’t give a fu*k WHAT THEY TALKING ABOUT. I GOT ALL 9. I’M KILLING these boys out here.” (Via 7PM in Brooklyn)

Éric Rohmer explains why he didn't like his movies being screened at crowded theaters: "If it depended only on me, instead of attracting people to my films, I would try to drive them away. I would tell them the films are more difficult than they really are, because I don’t like to deceive people, I like to show my films to people who can appreciate them. I’m not interested in the number of spectators. Having said that, it’s true that a film is a commercial undertaking and ought to recover its costs. But as my films don’t cost much, I don’t think I need a very large audience, and I’ve always thought that they should be shown in theaters that aren’t too big. The intimate character of my films doesn’t suit a theater or an audience too large for them. And I don’t think they are suited to a mass reaction or a collective reaction. It’s better if the spectator feels he is experiencing a completely personal reaction to it. Each reaction should be unique, individual, and different. I think the film is enjoyed better if the spectators aren’t sitting too near one another, if the theater isn’t too full, and they don’t know each other. Then each has a different reaction. That’s better than a theater where there’s a uniform reaction. I don’t like watching one of my films in public and it distresses me if everyone laughs in the same place, as my film wasn’t made with that in mind. I didn’t write something just to make everyone laugh at the same time. It’s all right if someone smiles, but it shouldn’t happen at exactly the same place in the film. Perhaps this is because my films are more like reading than like watching a spectacle; they are made more to be read like a book than seen like something on the stage. So it distresses me to see a collective reaction." (Éric Rohmer's interview with Éric Rohmer, 1971) Clip from: La collectionneuse (1967) Director: Éric Rohmer

🐱: Right now, I'm getting a lot of messages from people around me and also getting scolded quite a bit. About that moment when I put my hand inside my pants, I wanted to apologize and clarify things to MIDZY. 🐱: Let me sit up straight and be serious for a second 🐱: First of all, that jumpsuit was riding up way too high, and it was genuinely so uncomfortable and painful. I wasn't thinking straight at the moment, I just really needed to pull it down. But looking back at the footage myself, I agree it definitely looked like my hand went in a bit too deep. 🐱: I think I’ve gotten so comfortable around midzy lately that I completely let my guard down on stage and acted without thinking. I am so deeply sorry for that. 🐱: But seriously, it was absolutely the jumpsuit's fault! It was literally trying to split me in half, so I had no choice! Still, I know it was wrong of me to reach into my pants in public, especially on stage. That was my mistake. 🐱: Because of this, my friend made me promise to do some serious self-reflection and repeat this three times: I will never reach into my pants in public, especially on stage, ever again. 🐱: So yeah, that’s where I stand. I’m honestly so disappointed in myself for letting everyone who loves and supports me see me doing something like that. 🐱: But seriously... it really *was* the jumpsuit's fault! 😭 ...Okay, okay, but it was still my bad at the end of the day. 🐱: Next time I have to wear a jumpsuit, I’ll just bring a pair of scissors on stage with me. Just kidding… 🐱: Anyway, that’s the whole story and I just wanted to clarify things with you all.

The Cybertruck is, without a doubt, the ultimate road trip vehicle. Every time I pack it, it reminds me how much storage this thing actually has. Between the frunk, the massive bed, the under-bed storage, the gear locker, and the cabin, I can bring literally everything my fam needs. Honestly, we could live out of this truck for months at a time if we wanted to. Bro… this is true freedom. I have Starlink hooked up, so no matter where I am, I can work, upload videos, stay connected, and share my thoughts and journey in real time with millions of people around the world. That’s exactly what we’re doing today as we head to Yellowstone. FYI, I even uploaded this entire post 100% via Starlink as my Cybertruck is driving us on FSD right now. Then there are all the little things that make long trips so much easier. I don’t have to think about oil changes, engine maintenance, transmission issues, or stopping at smelly gas stations. The stainless steel exterior also means I don’t stress over chips, scratches, or keeping the paint perfect. The huge panoramic windshield makes every drive feel like you’re sitting in the front row of nature. The air suspension smooths out rough roads, there’s plenty of power for mountain driving, and FSD completely takes the stress out of long highway miles so I can actually enjoy the scenery and the time with my family. For me, the Cybertruck is our family adventure vehicle. It carries everything we need, keeps us connected from essentially anywhere, and turns trip into something we actually look forward to instead of something we just have to get through. This truck is hands down the best Tesla ever created and I don’t say this lightly.

Training to get drafted Day 3: One of the biggest things I’ve been working on lately is my pelvis rotation. I’ve talked about this in the past—how my pelvis wasn’t fully clearing and fully firing. For a long time, I thought the issue was that I just needed to rotate harder. What I started to realize, was that the real problem wasn’t my pelvis at all—it was my foot. Because my foot wasn’t firing, my hip wouldn’t fire correctly, and my knee would try to take over. My cue used to be, “Alright, slam the knee down to rotate the pelvis.” But what was actually happening was my foot would get stuck. It wouldn’t clear. It wouldn’t fire. When I started looking back at video from times when I threw harder, the difference became obvious. My entire foot had cleared and fired. That’s why one of the biggest things I’m working on right now is getting my foot through and fully rotated—firing the foot. Because if I’m able to fire my foot, and you actually feel this, you physically can’t keep your pelvis closed when your foot is in that position. Everything opens. One of my favorite cues for this is “get to my shoelaces.” This is something I got from Albertus, my partner. During the drive phase, all I’m thinking about is getting to my shoelaces. If I can get my foot into that position— I know my pelvis will clear. And if my pelvis clears, I’m going to create elite pelvis rotation. That’s one of my mechanical focuses right now. I’m posting every day until I get drafted. I’ll see you tomorrow.

is sports betting luck or skill? i hypothesize it's ~70% skill / 30% luck to test it, im doing a public experiment on myself, starting with $20,000 and making it as big as possible until the end of the 2026 nba playoffs fully documented from beginning to end i’ve gone through the rollercoaster of being up a lot, giving so much of it back, taking breaks, then doing it all over again but after years of this, i’m pretty confident in my ability to understand the game of basketball and be right more than wrong. especially during playoffs, where more variables are known. i know ball 🏀 currently: 18-9 this year (all public) recently you saw the $10k to $100k challenge where we ran it up to $73k in 7 days before losing the final game (still walked away with $43k) this time, i’m extending the challenge to the end of the NBA playoffs, so i can move calmer, and simply try to play the game as best as i can: > only bet games i genuinely think i have an edge on > size units correctly > breathe between games > don’t let emotions take over this entire run will be done on YEET massive shoutout to them for sponsoring the final video and this study, showing everything that goes on in the mind i’ve known the founding team for years and respect how transparent and unapologetically degen they are. as you know, me too. very grateful they’re letting me get creative with this because the real goal of the experiment is authenticity showing the highs, the lows, the confidence, the tilt, the psychology, the discipline, the mistakes no sugarcoating anything hopefully we end this with discipline to our rules and a sh*t ton more money than we started with we are in a very risk-on environment right now and it’s easy to get pushed past the edge into dangerous waters. one of my biggest priorities throughout all of this is to have fun while still approaching it responsibly truthfully, after this, i’ll probably retire from serious sports betting for a while which is exactly why i want to document every part of this one properly for you to see and analyze very excited for the documentary/video that comes out of this at the end as always, thank you for following along this wild internet journey with me the rules are in the 1st reply:

G-DRAGON’s new “ÜBERMENSCH” tour VCR: 🐉: (…) It was, at the same time, the most dazzling and radiant part of my youth. Back then, I tried to spend my time as relaxed as possible. I didn’t rush to do anything like before, nor did I feel the need to push myself further. That’s because I had spent so much time like that. 🐉: Now, I try to take a step back, travel alone, meet new people, and live an ordinary life. I spend time with friends, and I’ve naturally learned many things. 🐉: For eight years, I lived like a frog in a well *¹, and during that time, I often wondered whether it was really okay to live that way. But in the end, I’ve come to think that time was very necessary. I received a lot of help. It was because of that period that I regained the motivation to want to become something again. 🐉: And among it all, the word that kept coming to mind was “Übermensch”. That word felt like a kind of spell to me, like a protective shield. “ÜBERMENSCH, THE BEING WHO LIVES BY HIS OWN WILL. Human beings are something that must be overcome.” 🐉: When I was a child, I admired singers and wanted to become one myself. That’s why I am where I am now. But after achieving that dream, at some point, I lost the feeling of wanting to become something. Or maybe I simply wasn’t thinking about anything at all… 🐉: I was just taking a bit of a rest, not knowing what kind of image I should show or what I should focus on, but I eventually made a comeback and met people again. If I hadn’t had that time (the hiatus), perhaps nothing would have changed from how I was before. 🐉: Now, I feel like I’ve become more positive than before. I feel I have more emotional and mental room. The “me” that you’re seeing now smiles a bit more than before. I’ve gotten much better. 🐉: I was given time just for myself, and it feels like someone placed a rest (a pause)*² in my life. #GDRAGON #GD #지드래곤 #지디 #ÜbermenschInTokyo_Day1
