Education Minister Haruna Iddrisu visits the Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD) processing centre, as staff work against a 4 PM Monday deadline to validate data for 51,000 teachers, paving the way for the payment of their outstanding promotion arrears and a possible end to the ongoing teachers’ strike. #3NewsGH #TV3GH

They don't respect teachers. Look at the damn papers on the desk. Teachers at this age are asked to do photocopies of their documents to every institution for processing. What kind of nonsense is this?

Incompetence and ignorance at play. NDC and their leaders are always taking us aback. What kind of leadership is this?

Can u imagine! U had a whole year to do this in the ministry of education but u guys always take teachers for granted and you did not. So u guys must be forced to do the right thing. Ah black man and foolishness

Teachers are on strike for promotion arrears, and Haruna Iddrisu is begging until 30 October to find the money. In the same month Sammy Gyamfi announced that GoldBod pushed $1.17 billion to the Bank of Ghana and another $701 million to the banks from small-scale gold. Gold FX is parked at the central bank while the people who teach the children wait to be paid. That dollar pile is not staying in Ghana. In 2025 the top five imports from China were machinery, $847 million; iron and steel, $728 million; vehicles, $691 million; electrical equipment, $303 million; and plastics, $287 million. Gold leaves, Chinese goods come in, and the teacher is still owed. Pathetic priorities.

We are waiting for the money to hit our accounts first....we won't buy this tricks

We really have a broken system. It’s 2026!

Look at the bundle of papers!!
