Boneyard 🙄

Take one, you earned it

Many people are saying this

Really who could disagree? Not I. @PeteHegseth can we allocate one of these to a true patriot?

@PeteHegseth Would look good barked in the barn

Any A10s that you flew in there?

Yeah several

I will steal you one.

My other tale of decommissioning is the first sub I served on. I hated that bitch for sucking important moments out of my life. Then I stood in a gutted radio room that for the first time in 30 years, was silent and dark. All the sweat and hours I'd poured into maintenance. All the missions. More than a generation of sailors in there, copying messages. All gone.

You're getting your very own Warthog, aren't you?

You going to the Pima Air & Space Museum next door? Send some cool pics please, always wanted to go.

I've had 4 jets that I was DCC on go there. F-4G made into a target drone, shot down over the Gulf in '98. F-16 Bk25 is a CANN bird, F-16 Bk30 made into a drone, and my A-10 for the 2nd time.

I lived in an A-10 flight path in Tucson. I always enjoyed seeing them fly overhead. Driven by that boneyard many, many times.

Such a sad sight

Worked w/ a lots of assets, warriors, teams over decades-in war & peace-as my time at an FOB drew to an end, I witnessed 2 of ours, gracefully circling overhead, bringing death iso a TIC near our position-our A-10s & our pilots delivered every time. My last memory of that war...

Looks like they took out the guns. Wonder what their plan for those is? 🤔

is that visible from the public road? I’d like to pay my respects in remembrance of the sleeping beasts of war.

Good time to start a "DS/A-10" folder in Bookmarks. 🇺🇲

How much to buy one and tow it home?

Where can a fella get him one of these yard birds?

great video, dude

Flash floods, be safe.

Cool time lapse. 🤩

Nice effect

They need to bring those baddies back.

Great footage!

That place is a sad scene. It is reassuring that even the partially stripped planes are covered and protected to save other parts of them. Some look like they could fly in a week if neded. One wonders how many bits of these planes make it into black projects, and I bet a lot does.

Or boneyard.

Sad sad day.... 😔

I pulled turbine cases from some of those years and years ago.

*boneyard

Boneyard?

Shh they’re sleeping

I loved watching those things when I worked in Sumter SC!

Heading down there in a couple weeks to see if the C-130 we flew in there is still there with our names on it.

Sad to these all mothballedup

Days like this out there are rare. Early on when I was in the Disposal Section, on days like this we all took sick leave for the day! Working in the desert in rain wasn't pleasant and we also tried to stay off the dirt roads, so as to not make huge ruts.
