On Friday, June 26, 2026, PCSO deputies arrested 12 adults and 3 juveniles who were stealing food and drinks at the Davenport Wawa located on Old Lake Wilson Road; all of the suspects have been staying in an AirBNB visiting Polk from other counties in Florida. A 16th suspect was arrested during the investigation for interfering with deputies while they were detaining the theft suspects. Store employees contacted the Sheriff's Office after observing the suspects walking around the store, concealing bottled drinks and some food within their clothes. The group of people appeared to all know each other, and arrived at the store in three separate vehicles - a BMW, a Tesla, and a Honda Accord. The suspects, a mix of young adults and juveniles, were taking turns going into and out of the store during a 15-minute time span, some of them eating and drinking the items that they stole. Labor has just passed their heartless Emergency Services tax, with the help of the Greens and other callous crossbenchers. This new tax is 189% higher than the previous tax it replaces! This tax will be taken from farming families and regional & rural communities, with no real guarantee that any of their money will come back to their areas. Councils will be forced to be the unwilling tax collectors of the Labor State Government, shifting all the political push-back and administrative burden onto them. Keeping people safe is a basic responsibility of government that should be funded out of consolidated revenue. Victorians should not be slugged with an extra property tax for the 'privilege' of keeping them safe. This tax will even target many of our desperately needed Emergency Services volunteers, who should be receiving a medal, not a new tax and a slap in the face!

Today, I accompanied my brother, Randy Peter Peter Akah , and Mama P PRECIOUS ORUCHE 📌 to the EFCC, as requested after their previous visit. Following their invitation, they were released yesterday and asked to return today so that the EFCC could continue its investigation. I am currently outside the EFCC office waiting for them, and I will provide updates as more information becomes available. For now, Randy Peter and Mama P are with the EFCC as the investigation continues. I will keep the public informed as events unfold. Justice can never be cracked.
