On a an empty room, the robot runs on easy mode. Add real home scenario tests.

*inefficency. There is nothing efficient about spreading the mess over a much larger area and having to 30 passes to clean it up.

I have a robot for my pool. If I watch it, it doesn't seem like it can do much; slowly going back/forth, here/there. But when I return 4 hours later - clean pool!

@sciencegirl you just need a broom and under 5 minutes to sweep up that amount of dirt. This only shows how inefficient the robot vacuum cleaner actually is! And this is an obstacle free living room which rarely exists irl.

Basically will take the whole day to do something a human would do in 15 minutes. Imagine how much battery would take for this machine do that.

Convenient how you have a large room with stone floor and no furniture and none of the dirt is close to the walls.

You just need a totally empty and thus ugly flat. Than I prefer to do it myself.

What is efficient about this exactly? Literally nothing. This could be accomplished with, say, a Mele c3 (roughly same cost) in under 5 minutes and using less electricity. Robot vacuums arent anywhere near capable to handle this job. They're a meme

Efficiency matters. Robot vacuums save time and energy. Smart sensors, mapped routes, minimal effort. Clean floors without lifting a finger. Technology works best when it works for you.

All it did was spreading even more of all the white powder all over the floor until its everywhere... 0/10 would never get...

Matters how you define efficiency. If the test is to clean off all the dirt from the floor, it passes the test. If your definition is to clean the floor with the least amount of travel, I would say it failed the test.

Roborock vacuums are actually awesome. Used to have a roomba and it was so bad. Got one of the cheaper Roborocks a year or so ago, and it’s what a robot vacuum is supposed to be. The LiDAR mapping is great. It’s actually “smart”.
