A road is more than a path—it’s a lifeline to opportunity. 🌿 Better connectivity for Rangapara’s tea garden communities means improved access to markets, education, healthcare and new opportunities. Development must reach every community, every corner of Assam. 🇮🇳👏

Assam Tea needs no introduction! The lush green tea gardens where the tender hands of our hardworking Cha Shramiks pluck every leaf with care is what makes it special. On International Tea Day, we pay tributes to the people whose hardwork make your morning sip special.

Once a road people feared to travel, today it tells a story of change. Better connectivity has eased journeys, supported livelihoods and brought new confidence to the region. Every stretch rebuilt is a step toward a stronger, more connected Assam.

A delegation from Tata Consumer Products and Hindustan Unilever met me today. We had a good discussion to ensure optimal pricing and enhanced branding of Assam Tea. We are working to improve the global outreach of Assam Tea while providing the best facilities to our tea garden community.

After the resounding success of our first edition, we have now launched #Sebaashray2, a renewed commitment to bring healthcare to every doorstep, every community, and every individual who needs it most. This mission is guided by a single, unwavering principle: service above self, citizens above politics. Every interaction, every dose of medicine, every step taken to connect someone to specialist care is a pledge that governance can be empathetic, forward-looking, and inseparable from the lived realities of the people. With Sebaashray 2, we are not just delivering healthcare; we are reshaping how care reaches the citizen, building a model that is replicable, sustainable, and driven by humanity at its core.

Since 2021, we are working to improve our road infrastructure. Look at the transformation in Uriamghat, a once remote near the Assam-Nagaland border. We are working to ensure eventually all roads can offer a seamless travel experience.

In Assam's tea gardens, we are spinning an educational revolution. Our Tea Garden model schools are empowering students from the tea garden community and the results are for everyone to see. For the first time ever, over 50% of tea tribe students have cleared the HSLC exams!

We have a broader obligation to the people and to safety and to ensuring that this is done right and well. Security and innovation are not mutually exclusive. You can do both.

Just past midnight, wrapping up my day with a visit to Kosutoli. This is the site where we recently evicted illegal encroachers and are building an excellent campus for the Assam Police 10th Battalion. We look forward to Adarniya Amit Shah Ji laying its foundation stone.
