If so, it's the first time we've really seen this on a military video. #WATCH | Delhi: On ethanol, Vikram Gulati, Country Head and Executive Vice President (Corporate Affairs and Governance) of Toyota Kirloskar Motor, says, "Every vehicle sold in the country after 2023 is E20-compliant. Even vehicles from before 2023 can run on E20 without any problem. As I mentioned, studies show a slight drop in mileage—around 4-5%. This does happen. The reason is that ethanol has lower energy content; hence, mileage decreases by about 4 to 5% with E20. In fact, performance actually improves because the vehicle's acceleration gets better. Ethanol has a significantly higher octane number. You might even be surprised to learn that pure ethanol is used in Formula 1 racing. So, you cannot say that performance suffers; in reality, performance—in terms of acceleration, torque, and so on—actually improves..."

This is my fave acceleration drill, and it will NOT make you faster! ⛔️The classic wall drill doesn’t work. It just make your hips tired. Coaches around the world swear by them. We have all been doing them forever , because the angle mimics acceleration. When in all honesty, it’s just an inclined plank/hip flexor exercise. 💡So here’s what we reflected on💡 We asked … 🙋🏼‍♀️“what is a major output required in an acceleration?” 💡Well that had to be … “Horizontal Projection of your center of mass”.💡 Classic wall drill doesn’t have ANY hip projection. Horizontal body angles are the “EFFECT” of acceleration, but we wanted to have something that worked on the “CAUSE”? 🤨So what’s routed in the CAUSE? ✅Disciplined hip extension✅ 🙋‍♂️ What does that look like? 💡Shin discipline with trunk discipline allows one to utilise Lombards paradox💡 🙋🏿‍♂️What’s that ….? 💡Where the hamstrings & the quads contract TOGETHER rather than in an agonist -antagonist relationship💡 Said differently hip extension can result in knee extension, if the shin ceases to rise nore fall. ✅Co-contractions to maximise joint coupling✅ 💡Co-ordination and timing of triple joint extension is far more important than the completion of triple joint extension.💡 We have all been too concerned with the destination (full triple joint extension), without locking in on the journey ( joint coupling/coordination ) 🙋🏿‍♂️Will this drill make you faster? ⛔️Nope! I was diagnosed with epilepsy as a young adult. I’ve been seizure-free for several years, but I often think about the journey it has taken to get to this place and many that are at the beginning of that journey now. Today is Purple Day for Epilepsy Society , and I’m wearing my purple ribbon. Epilepsy affects many, but the wider effects are not commonly understood. So there’s more we can do to spread awareness and stand up to seizures. 💜

At the Giga Texas Test Track, we see some of it is being used now, with railed lanes, a long line of rumble strips, paint marks & cones … these are in the area where I showed a ground video yesterday of Cybercabs testing with acceleration runs. I’ve included a portion of that video in this one showing the location on the track. Speaking of Cybercab testing, we see 7 set up along with a trailer, that looks like the LIDAR testing rigs that usually we see on the roofs of vehicles driving around streets for camera validation testing & more in what seems to be a temporary dedicated testing facility until a more permanent one is completed. Still more asphalt work to complete the inner portions fo the track, but it is definitely partially operational now and being used! Very nice to see!

For years, gun owners pointed people to the CDC’s own website when talking about defensive gun use. Then the number disappeared. Now it’s back. The CDC’s firearm injury page once again lists a defensive gun use range of 60,000 to 2.5 million defensive gun uses per year. Same range. No changes. And the reason it ever came down is the part that tells you everything. Emails showed gun control activists pressured the CDC over the 2.5 million figure, with one email saying that number needed to be “killed, buried, dug up, killed again and buried again.” Not disproven. Not beaten with better research. Deleted. And here’s the part they hate: I don’t even need the high number. Even the low-end estimate still changes the whole argument. The page is live again. The range is back. Screenshot it, save it, and send it the next time somebody says defensive gun use is made up.

This is called Padding. And it’s one of the fastest ways to expand your defensive awareness. I recently used it with a player who was struggling to see the floor defensively. The shift was immediate. I also used it early in my coaching career too — and it completely fast-tracked my coaching eye. Here’s how it works: You watch the same possession five times. Each time, you trace the exact path of one player. Go slow. Pause it. Rewind it. Get it precise. Down to the angle, the placement, be exact. Then rewind it and do the next player. After you’ve padded all five players, something strange happens. When you watch it the sixth time… you suddenly see everything. The shot at the end isn’t surprising anymore. It’s inevitable. You see the spacing. You see the screens. You see the timing. All the small details that go unnoticed on a single watch become obvious. This is how you train awareness. By forcing the brain to process more. Players start seeing the game differently. Coaches start seeing all five players at once. Vent de l’Est (Contrail × East(Frankel)) Winner of a 2,000m two-year-old newcomers’ race at Sapporo. He doesn’t strike me as the type who can produce one sudden burst of acceleration. He’s more the kind who keeps revving the engine and gradually builds speed. There’s a phase where he progressively opens up his stride, then another where he maintains it. Basically, it’s about how he changes gears. There are different kinds of gear changes too. With him, it feels less like going straight from third to sixth and more like smoothly working through third, fourth, fifth, then sixth. I’d like to see him at Tokyo. For a Contrail colt at this stage, he’s relatively well developed. I still don’t know how strong he’ll be when the pace gets even more demanding.
