An Egyptian journalist on government television made an unusual and harsh statement to the residents of Gaza: If the residents of Gaza try to get close to the Egyptian border and enter our country as refugees, they are doomed. They will die after being shot. You can enter our territory but you will return in death bags. We have no time for your boredom. They truly hate them

A Saudi officer was filmed using excessive force in Masjid Al Haraam on two Egyptian pilgrims, a wife and husband, during Umrah. It appears that the woman was praying in a restricted area. The Special Forces for Hajj and Umrah Security have arrested the Egyptian man who they say “violated the regulations in Masjid Al Haram”.

"Letting children have the day off for Eid is a form of religious and political indoctrination into Islam." I discussed with Kevin O'Sullivan my concerns about Muslims praying in Trafalgar Square and schools having the day off for Eid in a constitutionally Christian country.

Muslims praying in Croke Park during Eid. In 1920 fourteen Irish people were massacred in Croke Park during the War of Independence. It's a sacred site. But our government and the GAA allowed this Muslim event. #IrelandBelongsToTheIrish

This is not the West Bank, and these are not Duvdevan These are Egyptian security forces who stormed Al-Warraq Island and are trying to abduct residents by forcing them into white minibuses with civilian license plates, to disappear them, torture them, and force them to sign fabricated confessions. The goal is the displacement of the residents and clearing the land for a Gulf “investor” -Egyptian sources

I am deeply pained and strongly condemn the authorities decision to once again deny the Muslims of Kashmir the basic right to offer Eid prayers at Eidgah and Jama Masjid which have been closed down and I have been detained at home Even at the peak of miltancy during 1990’s Eid prayers were offered at Eidgah , so now when huge claims of “normalcy “ are made everyday by the authorities , why are Muslims being kept away from their religious places and practices? What is the agenda ? Is the collective identify of Kashmiri Muslims a threat to the rulers ? Eidgah and Jama Masjid belong to the people. Barring them from these sacred spaces even on Eid reflects an oppressive and authoritarian approach that prevails in Kashmir today.
