During Mexico's morning press briefing (mañanera), Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection Omar García Harfuch provided an update on the violence triggered by the arrest attempt and subsequent death of Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, alias "El Mencho," leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG). He reported a total of 85 blockades nationwide in response to the operation, all of which have now been cleared and brought under control by authorities.
