Very excited to announce that at 12:20am on the 4th of July, Aalo achieved criticality on our first full-scale reactor. We cut it close, but we pulled it off!! Working towards this goal with such an incredible group of humans has been the most fulfilling period of my life. This moment has been three years in the making. Last year, Executive Order 14301 called for at least three new reactors to go critical before July 4th, 2026. As of late last Friday night, that goal has been surpassed! When the EO was announced, we immediately sat down to figure out what the most ambitious scope would be, while still being potentially achievable by July 4th. Some of the team proposed doing simplified designs with smaller fuel loads, or building in existing facilities. One thing was clear: We wouldn't have time to integrate a full-scale sodium heat-removal loop to bring the reactor to its full 30 MWt. So here’s where we landed: ➡️ We purchased the entire commercial-scale fuel load. This is enough fuel to operate at 30 MWt / 10 MWe for 3 years before refueling. To my knowledge, it’s the largest fuel load that’s been taken critical in the DOE pilot program, by far. ➡️ We built a full-scale reactor vessel in our factory, and loaded in our commercial graphite layout. All the dimensions, vessel thickness, and manufacturing techniques are essentially the same as we will use for the imminent commercial version. There will be a few minor tweaks for sodium flow and full-power, but nothing major. ➡️ We built an entirely new reactor facility at the Idaho National Lab. Building a building is easy. Building a new reactor facility comes with a mountain of paperwork, policies, operation and training procedures, security, instrumentation and control, and more. Zero-power criticality might seem like a small step, but I can tell you, going through the exercise of building a reactor and taking it to criticality has been extremely valuable. The learnings on regulatory, ops, manufacturing, supply chain, QA, economics, engineering, and design will accelerate our path through to the final iteration at full-power. America is blessed to have a recent Cambrian explosion of startups in nuclear, all going after different markets, technologies, and strategies. I’m excited that sodium, gas, salt, and new PWRs are all getting pushed forward once again. The best outcome for humanity is to have all these advance in parallel, as quickly as possible, while maintaining safety. I’m trying to stay calm while I write this after what I just heard this woman say. Her name is “Hope Ful” on TikTok. She is angry that military and veterans get a 10 percent discount in certain stores and restaurants. “They’re already living off of taxpayer dollars. What about us? We get no benefit for supporting our military.” Allow me to tell you what benefits you get, Hope. You get the freedom of speech that allows you to spew this absolute crap on the internet. And I’m about to exercise mine. Because, just an FYI, I didn’t have that luxury as an MP. In the military, I gave up a lot of my rights as an American, and my body quite literally belonged to the US Government. But I’m a veteran now, and I can say, for the most part, what I want. We signed on the dotted line and said we were willing to give our lives to our country. To you, Hope. I live with an injured hand that is, quite literally, always in pain; I live with the pain of having lost one of my best friends; I live with the pain of a ten-year battle with PTSD and nights of no sleep. And go ahead and tack on stress fractures and knee/back/hip problems for life. Do you want to know what we get for that kind of sacrifice? A 4–6 month wait to be seen by a specialist at a VA hospital because the process of just getting medical care is a nightmare for veterans, a “thank you for your service,” and a 10% discount at a few restaurants. But we’re also grateful that we got to serve the country we love so much. We get to claim the honor of protecting our nation and our freedom. Freedom that you so ignorantly decided to use in order to make this video. You get to BREATHE, because of people like my friend who was willing to sacrifice everything.

After a period of getting nothing done, I'm finally getting back into the gamedev! 🙂 I'm currently tinkering with our pixel art game, Sea Sniffers. The game has a fishing journal/encyclopedia to document your captures and findings. For a long time this book has been just static data. Today I finally made the whole system dynamic! New discoveries and their data now appear with a shiny sequence. UI in the game makes great use of Construct3's templating systems. I can just define templates in the editor and fill them with data from the 'FishDB' at runtime. Animations are just sequences of tweens, however the page turning animation makes use of an animated mesh distortion. Some time back I paid for a year of X pro. Now I can type these big slabs of text without worry. I'm curious how the CRT filter is going to show up in the video on the timeline though. My video should now be 1080p. Somehow I still think it's going to be destroyed by compression haha🥲 Having a really good time with work and art, which is refreshing because I went though a pretty dark period 'irl' for the last few months. I won't dive into the details, but let's just say I'm starting to see joy again ^^

Ladies and gentlemen, strap in because we've got some serious political malpractice on our hands. This clip featuring Sheila Jackson is an absolute train wreck, and she should be held accountable for it. Let's start with the raggedy Michael's poster board she's holding up. It's filled with misinformation, claiming that the stabilizing brace and short barrel of a firearm make it a pistol under federal regulations. Well, here's a newsflash: the brace doesn't magically transform a firearm into a pistol. It's called a Pistol Stabilizing Brace because it enhances the stability of what is already a pistol. The level of goofiness displayed in this video is mind-boggling. It's clear that Sheila Jackson didn't even bother to read the poster board before flaunting it in front of the camera. She's stumbling through the words, struggling to comprehend what it's actually trying to say. Heck, even the poster board itself is wrong! Now, why are we allowing people like Sheila Jackson to dictate what we can use to protect our families? Let me tell you something, folks. Sheila Jackson Lee is a wealthy political elite who has no clue about firearms or the Second Amendment. She's a walking symphony of idiocy, and it's high time we stop taking her seriously. Unfortunately, there are people out there who do listen to her and vote for her. That's why I feel compelled to expose this level of idiocy time and time again until those voters wake up and realize the grave mistake they're making. The Bridge Screamers call 911 screaming “HE’S GOT A GUN.” 🚨 ⏱️ Within about 15 MINUTES I’m CUFFED AND STUFFED. 🚔 Every officer knows me by first and last name from years of activism across Maine. I ask multiple officers multiple times what I’m charged with and even offer to leave. NO ONE TELLS ME WHAT I’M BEING CHARGED WITH. I’m put in the back of the police car, and it isn’t until I’m already in the car that Sgt. Nutter tells me I’ll learn what I’m being charged with when we get to the station. When we arrive at the station, he walks inside, UNCUFFS ME, AND TELLS ME I’M FREE TO GO. At that point, I ask him for an apology. HE REFUSES. In a moment of respite those millions of people, denied their fundamental Section 6 rights for nearly 9 months, could once again travel to see their loved ones and family events; to work; and to take much needed vacation time. This appeal, which will be heard at the Federal Court of Appeal in Toronto on November 3rd at 1pm Eastern Time, will consider whether Justice Kent Horne erred when he allowed the government’s motion to strike out two parts of our claim – those parts in relation to s.7 and s.12 of the Charter. Justice Horne allowed those parts in relation to s6 and s15 to go ahead to trial pending the outcome of this appeal and any further appeals that may follow. s.7 (life, liberty, security) deals with crucial rights that permit us all to decide for ourselves what happens to our body. We believe that the choice to accept a vaccine or not should be free of any sort of coercion or detrimental consequences imposed by any authority. They do not accept that the bar to their success in relation to s.7 is so high as to have no reasonable prospect of success and that their arguments should be allowed to proceed to trial. s.12 (cruel/unusual punishment) is normally heard in relation to the cruel and unusual punishment of people in the criminal justice system in relation to penal sanctions. We believe that then Prime Minister Trudeau developed the vaccine mandate as a deliberately cruel and unusual punishment for those Canadians who were exercising their s7 right to refuse the Covid-19 vaccines and, at the same time to use that punishment very publicly as a political campaign promise and ‘wedge issue’ in the 2021 General Election. The appeal will not be easy, but our case is in great hands with Sam Presvelos, the young litigator who achieved so much for millions of people in Canada who were, until June 2022, denied the right to even leave their country! If we succeed the government may then try to further appeal the decision to the Supreme Court of Canada. November 2009 Laura Silsby founded a non-profit named "New Life Ministries," with an ironic slogan that says, "Ending Child Sex Trafficking." Tesla halfshaft clicking and rattling is solved - costing Tesla millions. Making the Small Drive Unit immortal wasn’t easy – but it also wasn’t impossible and we did it again. Simply changing working SDU wasnt cheap or sustainable nor buying existing repair kits is was not enough because milling or clicking noise was still there. The clicking noise and axle vibrations we noticed on an SDU we received over two years ago seemed like an isolated case at first, most likely caused by the half-shafts. But in the past two years we received around 20 similar inquiries, and we weren’t fully certain about the root cause, so we didn’t act prematurely. After 5 months of dedicated work, we finally identified the real issue, sourced suppliers, and solved the last missing piece: the output differential gear. The repair process itself demands precision and attention to detail – inspection of the gear seat radius and bearing surface, machining or polishing when required (in this case polishing was sufficient), production of hardened shims to fine-tune gear backlash, and the use of new shafts heat-treated to 61 ± 2 HRC and precision ground to the required tolerance. Pin holes are drilled with carbide tools, side faces milled for oil relief, while the hardened gears themselves usually remain intact, with wear limited mainly to the shims. In this work, even a deviation of 0.01 mm can make a crucial difference. Soon we’ll release a full video and a new repair kit, complete with an exchange program for refurbished differentials (“old for new”), as well as reconditioned motors available for other workshops and franchises. We also discovered why Model S and X often destroy brand-new half-shafts in a short period of time. The cause is not only wheel suspension or motor mounts – but also a worn differential inside the e-motor. Excessive wear and internal play within the planetary gear set cause the axle to shift off-center under load, ultimately destroying the CV joint. 🚨BREAKING: ICE agents surrounded a car in a University of Kansas parking lot, handcuffed the driver, and patted down a young girl against the vehicle. And the university found out the same way students did… social media. In the video, you can see an agent talking to the passenger, then opening the back door, pulling out a young woman, and having her turn to the vehicle to pat her down. Their justification? The car had a connection to a prior DUI. A prior DUI, on a registration, does not give you the right to drag every person out of a vehicle and search them. The passenger, and the young girl in the back seat, aren’t suspects. Ordering them out and patting them down without independent, reasonable suspicion for each person, is a 4th Amendment violation. And this is the pattern we keep seeing… ICE flags a vehicle, treats everyone inside like a criminal, and people disappear. Even the sheriff said agents “swoop in, cause chaos, alter lives and sneak out without so much as a word.” They’ve been using minor infractions… or records that have nothing to do with the people in the car, as pretexts to stop, detain, and demand papers. Half of ICE’s arrests in Kansas, since January, involved people with zero criminal convictions at all. And this happened one day after ICE agents showed up at a Columbia University dorm at 6:30 in the morning, told staff they were looking for a missing 5-year-old girl, and used that lie to get inside without a warrant. They walked out with a student who had done nothing wrong… and only released her after New York City’s mayor had to take it all the way to the White House. They lied about a missing child to take a college student from her bed. On February 17th, agents were patrolling church parking lots and positioning themselves near an elementary school during morning drop-off. Now they’re following cars onto university campuses. Schools. Churches. College campuses. All places where kids are supposed to feel safe… and where unaccompanied minors are easy to isolate. They’re getting paid per body, and they know exactly where to find the most vulnerable ones.
