Mamata Banerjee is rattled and it shows. She’s now openly threatening to gherao the Election Commission if it dares to implement the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter rolls in Bengal. Why such panic, Didi? In Bihar, 35+ lakh fake votes dead, shifted, and duplicates were removed during SIR. In Bengal, BJP has exposed 17 lakh duplicate voters, almost 3 times more than Bihar! Mamata is not worried about democracy, she’s scared of losing her fake vote bank that keeps her clinging to power. The fear is real and so is the rot.

VIDEO | Hyderabad: Addressing a press conference, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi said, "First of all, we had requested the Election Commission regarding the requirement of submitting 12 documents for voters whose names are not found in the 2002 electoral rolls, or whose parents' or grandparents' names are missing from those records, in order for their names to be included again in the draft voter list. Among the 12 prescribed documents, some are simply not available in Telangana... We suggested to the Election Commission that PAN cards should be included in the list because a person can vote on the basis of a PAN card. Similarly, the state government issues driving licences and food security cards, which are also accepted for voting purposes. However, the Election Commission did not accept our suggestion..."

Assam shares a border with Bangladesh and has a large number of suspected infiltrators. The CEC gave the excuse of the NRC but what happened in NRC? Out of 19 lakh people excluded, only 7 lakh were Muslims, and 12 lakh were non-Muslims. After wasting more than 1600 crores of taxpayers’ money, the NRC was quietly dropped. Why is the ECI not revealing the number of infiltrators found in Bihar? And why has it not released the list of 47 lakh deleted voters? How will people even know that their names have been deleted and only then can they raise objections?
