Elections have consequences. Some elected officials will build a 700-km coastal highway 🛣️ with rail connectivity, while others will hoard public funds, park them in banks where they hold major stakes, and claim fiscal prudence as a public achievement.

Labour are set to ‘reveal’ a massive hole in the public finances. Strange thing is, they knew about it all along. But rather than be honest with the public they chose to engage in a ‘conspiracy of silence’ and stick to Tory fiscal rules. Where will their austerity axe fall?

Spencer Pratt has created a phone app that will be used for accountability of public officials if he’s elected Mayor of Los Angeles Here’s how it works - Residents will be able to report things like piles of trash - They can upload a video, the location is geotagged - An email will be sent out to all the public officials for the problem - The app will keep track of their record of addressing the problems - A ranking system will be made showing how successful each public official is in each area If they did fix issues they’ll have a high score, if they ignore issues they’ll have a failing score Then voters can easily see which public officials should be voted for and who needs to be voted out

Just saw a video of Reno Omokri via Grok and I laughed. Reno, the hypocritical messenger of prudence, attacked Peter Obi for saying he doesn’t waste public funds on first class tickets. And he wouldn’t even do so now as a private citizen. As SSA, Reno shamelessly flew first class tickets that he couldn’t even afford as a private citizen, wasting public funds that could have been used to improve the lives of ordinary Nigerians. Many countries that are far richer than us have strict regulations governing the use of taxpayers money. They ensure accountability and transparency when it comes to travel expenses, often mandating economy. Meanwhile, in Nigeria, we have appointed spokespersons like Reno, whose roles are largely inconsequential, especially regarding trips and flight tickets, yet they lavishly waste public funds. It’s absurd that while richer nations tighten their belts, we allow public servants squander scarce resources on unnecessary luxuries. It’s high time we demand the same level of prudence and integrity from our officials as seen in countries with far greater wealth. Nigerians deserve better. I wonder when Reno will finally own up to his reckless spending and misuse of public fund. Nigerians deserve honest leaders, not hypocrites who can’t stand the sight of integrity. We will get it right. We must get it right. A new Nigeria is POssible.

Chronic absenteeism in school has become a major problem in our public schools since they were shuttered for Covid, while our private schools remained open just fine. Those public school students will never get those 2 years back, and my opponent Dr. Amy Acton owes them an apology.

Two men wasting handwash in a highway hotel washroom. 🤡 Then people ask why public facilities in India are always filthy. The truth is simple, many people have Zero Civic Sense. Give them clean infrastructure and they will destroy it within days.

#WATCH | Delhi: On the INDIA alliance meeting, BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi says, "... This alliance has become a hotbed of confusion and conflict, characterized by a chaotic mix of bickering, bluffing, and skirmishes... You cannot succeed by constantly attacking constitutional machinery and the Constitution itself, or by engaging in malicious propaganda against an elected government... They will continue to march to their own tunes and hold endless meetings—with some saying they will attend, while others say they will walk away..."

In my engagement with the residents of Kilifi and Mombasa Counties, they told me that their number one concern is the economy. Economic opportunities continue to be elusive to too many of our people while a small minority keeps stealing from public coffers. Your taxes and public funds will be safe in my hands #SafeHands

Let's build Namma Bengaluru with a Grand vision. * A city that has implemented effective zoning laws where people have access to their workplaces, schools, hospitals, parks and other amenities within a 30 minute radius. * An expansive Metro network of over 317 km with a frequency of 3 minutes. * Buses of all sizes integrated with metro timings. * A suburban rail network, which will ensure that with all these public transport services, 70% of Bengaluru’s population can commute on public transit easily and smoothly. Bengaluru must be built for its citizens, not for contractors or cars. Watch.

All broadcasters have an obligation to operate in the public interest—even Disney. Indeed, broadcasters made a deal with the American public—in exchange for free access to a valuable public resource (the airwaves) they agreed to meet their public interest obligations. This sets them apart from cable channels or podcasts or newspapers. While Disney has now filed a meritless case based on their own campaign of disinformation, the FCC will follow the facts and the law wherever they go.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić: We have certain things in our safe. It is just a matter of time before we show them and make them public. We have avoided doing so in order not to offend some of the major powers, since they always exert enormous pressure. There is no longer any reason for that. We are backed up against a wall, and we will fight for what is ours—we will defend and protect what is ours.

All the ministers will have to go to one taluk compulsarily one day every week. They will have to attend to the public and look into their grievances. Kagame's regime is introducing "flying taxis" from China. Meanwhile, clean water shortages are rampant in City of Kigali suburbs, with some neighbhoods going weeks without water supply, a recurring problem every year. That's compounded with electricity shortages across the country. Like many other regime priorities in Rwanda, public funds are wasted on Kagame's appeasements while massive incentives are given to useless foreign projects such as "flying taxis". Kagame is hellbent on keeping Rwandans in poverty while shackling their freedom of expression and public discourse while spending public funds on his own public image. This is corruption but there's no way to measure corruption in Rwanda. No where to start. Even the OAGRwanda’s reports, through published, rarely lead to consequences.

🚨 California Elected Officials are making deals with BlackRock saying they’ll only let BlackRock manage the state’s pension funds if they adopt their Woke Agenda throughout all 50 states in America “You have elected officials in California who are telling BlackRock that they will not allow them to manage the pension funds from the state of California unless they adopt this woke agenda, as they vote their shares through all of the states. Yes, so they have to manage all of the pension funds in the same manner. They have to vote the shares and speak as a shareholder in the boardrooms in the same manner. That’s right, because when BlackRock is buying shares in Pepsi or in Disney or in Target or in Nike, they speak with one voice, right, California’s voice — That’s exactly what’s driving the invisible hand of the market. No, it is the invisible hand of left-wing government.”
