Notice that none of those appear to be Teslas. Mostly KIA and other Chinese designs.

It is in China after all.

@Metaforest Tesla has a giant, successful Chinese factory. Stop spreading misinformation

Klara's profile picture
Klara9 months ago

@Metaforest I apologise, it's obviously not China even though the Chinese licence plates, Chinese letters on the road signs and Chinese characters on the vehicles. You must be correct, totes can't be China.

@rebel1996 Tesla makes a lot of cars for the Chinese market. Note that none of the cars shown are Teslas.

@rebel1996 Shh, it's been declared misinformation so misinformation it must be.

Sure, Norway’s car fleet is like 25% EV’s and we all stay home during the cold winters. My god how stupid.

Norwegians are stupid though

You’re telling me lithium doesn’t like cold temperatures?

Klara's profile picture
Klara9 months ago

Oh yeah, it's shocking and totes not something they could have tested just by buying some cheap batteries and sticking them in the freezer.

Curly's profile picture
Curly9 months ago

You think the small batteries operate the same as larger batteries?

Klara's profile picture
Klara9 months ago

I think I'm too sleep deprived to think. Also yeah, I don't know my batteries all that well even at the best of times.

They're only practical for tropical climates like Norway's...

Most of those are ICE vehicles. lol.

I heard Tesla solved that problem a decade ago.

Anton Arnesen's profile picture

You have no experience with EVs. I and another million Norwegians use EVs daily. This is your dream. Reality is that this far more seldom than we see an ICE being stranded on the curbside.

Klara's profile picture

Sir, this is not a dream, this is a video on social media. WAKE UP

Wake up to what? I’m off for a 7 hour drive from Oslo to Stockholm. I could record the whole trip in my Tesla Model Y in 🥶 temperatures. What we would see is probably nothing! You can watch our team play tomorrow 🤗:

😂😂😂 Zero problems. 5th year Scandinavian winter. Best winter cars ever. dual motor 4WD no warming up. Pre heat.

Weird how I didn’t see a single Tesla, despite it being the most sold EV brand by a mile.. are we even sure half of these vehicles are EV’s? Considering German insurance and road rescue found that EV’s had 1/4 breakdowns vs Fossils.. hmm

This video is genuinely so stupid… Just drove 1200 miles in 22 hours the other day (500 of which was in below freezing blizzard, white out conditions, temperatures, many of which below 10°). Never had an issue! It’s not like EV’s are basically the most popular vehicle in Norway…

The Tesla owners in the comments 🤣. Used teslas are sold for about 8k because they need a 25k battery plus installation. Keep drinking the cool aid boys

After using battery equipment in the cold for years, I knew there’d be issues with EV’s

@grok “No, misleading. Video shows vehicles stranded on icy highway due to weather, including trucks and likely ICE cars, not EV-specific failure. EVs lose range in cold but function with planning.” - Grok 4

Blame the person buying the cars for not knowing the limits. It’s not the cars fault it isn’t being used properly. Everyone who has a phone knows its usage time is shorter in the cold. Don’t buy the car if it’s not going to work for what you need

Next time people ask why we don't let cheap Chinese electric cars into the country here's one good reason

Trout's profile picture

During the big snow at Tahoe, the Teslas got stuck in traffic and ran out juice to the pot they couldn’t move the cars off the main highway.Took us 11 hours to almost make it our place and we had to drive back to Sacramento to find a hotel with vacancy.normally only 4 hour trip.

Not a single Tesla in this video, it is not electric cars, it is bad engineering!

DatBlueHusky🔜VCFMW's profile picture

this is so stupid, its bunch of bs because here in canada people drive electric cars all over fine low as -35c. Electric cars have heated batteries for this type of issues. Only thing is they do get less range but not that much that you cant drive them.

I wonder what's causing the problem of batteries or maybe the brushes on the electric motors?

Konrad Mazowiecki's profile picture

No they’re not. It’s a Chinese-Kazakhstan border and this is how they smuggle cars through the border. The electric cars is cherry-picking here and you know it

Evidently many Asian EV models use non conforming proprietary bearings in their motors that can’t tolerate anything which is a stupid thing to do but meanwhile here in Missouri my Bolt and every other Tesla and Leaf drive around just fine in -20° F temps none ever on roadside
