Quantum Mechanics Series Lecture 4 Lecture 1 established that ρ(x,t) = |ψ(x,t)|² behaves like a conserved probability density. Lecture 2 showed what drives that flow. We also saw that writing ψ = r exp(iθ) makes the probability current proportional to the phase gradient, making it clear that phase geometry literally steers the motion. Lecture 3 then showed that the centroid of that flow can move almost classically when the packet is tight and the external potential is smooth. However, that raises yet another question. If the centroid can look classical, why does the full wave still spread, bend, split, and interfere in ways no classical particle cloud would? This is because the wave is not driven only by the external potential. It is also driven by its own curvature. Write ψ(x,t) = r(x,t) exp(iθ(x,t)) with ρ = r². Then Schrödinger’s equation gives two coupled real equations. One is the continuity equation you already know. The other looks like a Hamilton-Jacobi equation, but with one extra term: Q = −(1/2m) ∇²r / r This is the so-called Quantum Potential. It depends entirely on how the amplitude bends across space. So, the wave is being shaped not only by V(x,t), but also by the geometry of its own envelope. In the animation, the upper surface is still |ψ| and its skin is still colored by arg(ψ). The glowing threads still trace the probability current. But now a second membrane hangs underneath. That lower membrane encodes the quantum potential Q itself. The porcelain bead marks the quantum centroid. The amber bead follows a classical centroid under the same external V. When those paths separate, the lower membrane tells you why. The difference is not magic but the extra term classical mechanics does not have. The math breakdown: Start from Schrödinger evolution in units with ħ = 1: i ∂ψ/∂t = [ −(1/2m) ∇² + V(x,t) ] ψ Write the state in polar form: ψ = r exp(iθ) Then ρ = |ψ|² = r² From the imaginary part, you recover probability conservation: ∂ρ/∂t + ∇·j = 0 with j = (1/m) Im(ψ* ∇ψ) = (ρ/m) ∇θ So the local velocity field is v = j / ρ = ∇θ / m Now take the real part of Schrödinger’s equation. That gives ∂θ/∂t + |∇θ|² / (2m) + V + Q = 0 where Q = −(1/2m) ∇²r / r This is the classical Hamilton-Jacobi equation with one extra term. That extra term is what makes quantum motion locally different from classical motion. Take a gradient of that phase equation and use v = ∇θ / m. Then the flow obeys an Euler-like equation: ∂v/∂t + (v·∇)v = −(1/m) ∇(V + Q) In other words, there are really two forces in the problem. One comes from the external potential V. The other comes from the wave’s own curvature through Q. That is why Ehrenfest is only approximate. The centroid can still satisfy d⟨x⟩/dt = ⟨p⟩/m d⟨p⟩/dt = −⟨∇V⟩ but the internal shape of the packet evolves under the combined influence of V and Q. When the packet stays broad and smooth, Q is gentle and the motion looks more classical. When the packet develops sharp curvature or interference structure, Q becomes strong and the classical picture breaks down. That is what this scene is designed to show live. #QuantumMechanics #Wavefunction #SchrodingerEquation #BornRule #ProbabilityCurrent #ContinuityEquation #Phase #EhrenfestTheorem #QuantumPotential #Madelung #HamiltonJacobi #MathematicalPhysics #Mathematics #Physics

Chemo is mustard gas—just rebranded. Not a conspiracy, a fact. Mustard gas was a chemical weapon used in WWI—designed to kill by attacking rapidly dividing cells. It burned skin, destroyed lungs, and wiped out immune systems. After the war, doctors noticed soldiers exposed to it had suppressed white blood cells. So in the 1940s, they tested a similar compound—nitrogen mustard—and used it to “treat” lymphoma. That was the beginning of chemotherapy. They took a weapon of war… and called it medicine. Same destruction. Same toxicity. Different name. The first chemo drug? “Mustargen.” Still used today. But here’s what they don’t tell you… Companies like Bayer, Hoechst, and BASF were part of IG Farben, a massive German chemical cartel that produced mustard gas, Zyklon B (used in gas chambers), and other war chemicals. After WWII, IG Farben was broken up—but those same companies rebranded into our current pharmaceutical giants: Bayer, Sanofi, Aventis, and BASF. These are the same companies that now dominate the drug industry—pushing chemotherapy, v🪓eens, and synthetic medications under the guise of “healthcare.” They didn’t disappear. They never stopped. They just switched logos and kept selling the same poison. And that, my friends’, is how the war industry became the healthcare industry. And they’ve been profiting off our sickness ever since. — Nurse Erin @ #NurseErin #ChemoTruth #MustardGasMedicine #WarOnWellness #RebrandedPoison #PharmaExposed #BayerTruth #IGFarben #MedicalFreedom #ToxicMedicine #HealthcareExposed #HealingNotProfit #InformedConsent #FunctionalMedicine #WakeUpCall

Warmup to Statistical Mechanics What Exactly is a Hamiltonian A System? In ordinary Mechanics, you might begin with position and velocity. Hamiltonian Mechanics rewrites the same motion in a different language. Instead of position and velocity, it uses position and momentum. We write the position variables as q and the momentum variables as p. Then the full state of the system at one instant is (q, p) That pair is one point in phase space. Why do we do this? Because in these variables, the equations of motion take a remarkably clean form. Everything is generated by one single function, the Hamiltonian H(q, p) and in the simplest cases this Hamiltonian is just the total energy written in terms of position and momentum. So if you know H, you know the dynamics. You might wonder, but how can one function generate motion? The rule is dqᵢ/dt = ∂H/∂pᵢ dpᵢ/dt = −∂H/∂qᵢ These are Hamilton’s equations. Now read them slowly 😄 The rate of change of position comes from differentiating H with respect to momentum. The rate of change of momentum comes from differentiating H with respect to position, with a minus sign. This constitutes the whole engine. A simple example makes this less abstract: Take one particle of mass m moving in a potential V(q). Then the Hamiltonian is H(q, p) = p²/(2m) + V(q) The first term is kinetic energy. The second term is potential energy. Now apply Hamilton’s equations. First, dq/dt = ∂H/∂p = p/m So momentum tells you how position changes. Second, dp/dt = −∂H/∂q = −dV/dq Thus, momentum changes because of force. If you now combine these two equations, you recover ordinary Newtonian mechanics. Since p = m dq/dt, we get m d²q/dt² = −dV/dq So, Hamiltonian mechanics is not a different theory. It is the same mechanics, written in a form that exposes its geometric structure much more clearly. The animation The full 3D surface is the Hamiltonian itself, the energy landscape H(q, p). The floor underneath is phase space, marked by energy contours and the local flow field. The bright moving point is one actual state (q(t), p(t)) evolving under Hamilton’s equations. Its trail shows that the motion is not arbitrary. It is guided everywhere by the geometry of the same single function H. The render is doing more than illustrating a particle moving, it is showing how one function organizes the whole phase-space motion. The math breakdown: Start with one degree of freedom. The state is described by position q and momentum p. So the system lives in a two-dimensional phase space with coordinates (q, p) Now choose a Hamiltonian H(q, p) Think of H as the energy function. In many standard systems, H(q, p) = kinetic energy + potential energy For a particle of mass m in a potential V(q), this becomes H(q, p) = p²/(2m) + V(q) Hamilton’s equations say dq/dt = ∂H/∂p dp/dt = −∂H/∂q Now substitute this specific H. First compute the p derivative: ∂H/∂p = ∂/∂p (p²/(2m) + V(q)) = p/m So dq/dt = p/m Now compute the q derivative: ∂H/∂q = ∂/∂q (p²/(2m) + V(q)) = dV/dq So dp/dt = −dV/dq These two first-order equations completely determine the motion. Now, connect this back to Newton’s law. From dq/dt = p/m we get p = m dq/dt Differentiate both sides with respect to time: dp/dt = m d²q/dt² But Hamilton’s second equation gives dp/dt = −dV/dq So , together they imply m d²q/dt² = −dV/dq This is exactly Newton’s second law for motion in the potential V(q). Thus, Hamilton’s equations do not replace mechanic, they reorganize it. #HamiltonianMechanics #PhaseSpace #ClassicalMechanics #MathematicalPhysics #DifferentialEquations #Mathematics #Physics

A month ago I posted a selfie from my PhD days and admitted I was having an existential crisis. This is what the crisis produced. "Can AI Model the Entire Universe?" The essay is built around the conjecture Demis Hassabis closed his Nobel Lecture with -- that any pattern found in nature can be efficiently modeled by a classical learning algorithm. I wanted to take that seriously. Rigorously. Personally. Because the question underneath it is one I couldn't shake: What will remain human and what will become mechanical about how we do physics, maths, and science -- once the dust finally settles? I started April somber. I'm releasing this in a different place not because I found certainty, but because I found the right questions to sit with. I hope it unsettles and excites you the way writing & recording it did for me. —— 00:00 - Can AI model the entire Universe? 00:45 - Demis Hassabis & his shocking conjecture 03:25 - Deepmind's founding thesis 04:45 - Microscope on most powerful machines to measure physics Deeper we plunge into existential waters... 07:35 - Zone I: Discrete States and Stable Patterns 09:05 - Zone II: Approximating the Continuous Universe 10:55 - Zone III: Invisible Universe 11:40 - Zone IV: Will AI make our most unhinged ideas testable? 12:33 - Zone V: Chaotic Systems 13:39 - Epilogue: Optimistic Ascent from the abyss 14:25 - Henri Poincaré on the importance of Intuition 15:10 - Einstein Test Benchmark for AGI 17:20 - Humans relentlessly pursue ideas even in war & disease: Karl Schwarzschild 19:36 - Singularity is Near?

Toyotaro interview on France Info, english translation : _ This isn't my first time in France. I've been here before when I was a student. I was thrilled to see the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre Museum, and Notre-Dame. _ The fact that France is the second largest manga-consuming country after Japan is quite fascinating to me. I appreciate that this culture is so accepted here. _ Dragon Ball's success lies in a story that is simple in a good way. When there's a fight, there's no need to read a block of text to understand. This makes the series accessible to everyone, no matter who you are or where you live in the world. The simplicity of the work is its strength. _ When I was young, my first encounter with Dragon Ball was through animation. I hadn't yet read the manga, but I loved it, and then I bought the V-Jump magazine, which was pre-publishing Dragon Ball. There was a fight between Vegeta and Goku, and I was completely hooked. I wanted to draw Dragon Ball. At the time, there were card games in which I drew the main characters. I went to see the Japanese publisher Shueisha. I started showing them my work. And one thing led to another, and I was in contact with Akira Toriyama, the creator of Dragon Ball, and I started working with him on the manga Dragon Ball Super in 2015. _ My favorite character is Granola because when I drew him and presented him to Akira Toriyama, he immediately said, "OK," "That's great, go for it." I'm also very proud of having created Black Freeza. _ When Akira Toriyama passed away in 2024, I wasn't expecting it. For a while, I was a little lost, I didn't really know what to do. There were many messages of comfort through social media. Even though I was close to him, I felt like "one" among the millions of sad fans. _ For me, Dragon Ball is the number one manga in the world. I don't think Dragon Ball should end. I'm not alone in working on it. It's the strength of fans around the world that allows this work to continue. As a manga artist, what I would like in the future is to continue evolving and always improve, to have multiple approaches, to create funnier manga, to improve my drawing and storytelling skills. That's my goal.

🚨WAR ON IRAN: UN, IMO, CANNOT BE SILENT on attack on Safesea Vishnu and other ships! ‘It was a well-calculated, calibrated attack on the Safesea Vishnu. It’s quite different than the attacks that has happened in the region that we have seen for the last couple of weeks. All those attacks had happened through drones, missiles, etc. It was attacked in the territorial waters of Iraq, within the vicinity of the terminal. And what has surprised us about this attack, after doing the due diligence, is that one day before the attack, there was a speedboat that definitely took a couple of rounds, probably to map the attack. And it was attacked at a very vulnerable time, midnight. She was supposed to complete the operation in just the next couple of hours. It was attacked using an unmanned vessel with explosives on board. The boat that was controlling this unmanned vessel was just miles away from our ships. So this attack definitely happened inside the territorial waters of Iraq. Again, there are coast guards. They’re vigilant, definitely operating 24/7, especially during the time of war. We have not seen any sort of action or report thereafter from Iraqis about how they allowed this attack to happen inside their territory. We have not seen that. So that’s one of the reasons we have requested international bodies, including the United Nations, the Guardian of the Maritime Industry, and the IMO, to come forward and do the investigation on this. They cannot be quiet.’ -S. V. Anchan, Chairman of the Safesea Group, which owns the Safesea Vishnu which was attacked by the IRGC He joins us on Sunday’s episode of New Order. The Bradford Bulls have unveiled a modern new look, replacing its 30-year old logo with a new identity, representing an exciting new era for the club. The new logo is part of a full club rebrand that represents a new Bulls for the 2026 season, following its return to the Super League. Keen to reflect the changes the club has been through over the last three years, on and off the field, the logo has been modernised but draws elements of its brand identity from its history. The iconic V from the Bulls’ glory era is represented in the head of the Bull. Whilst the new Bullhorn font is more dynamic, it retains the colours and the curved structure of the logo it replaces. The two halves of the bull's shoulders represent a rugby ball, whilst the four stars symbolise the club’s four Super League titles. The new emblem will be incorporated into all branding over the coming months, with fresh merchandise and the new kit hitting online and physical stores this month. Jason Hirst, CEO at Bradford Bulls, said: “Rejoining the Betfred Super League 2026 and full-time professionalism heralds another new era for our great club. “There are striking similarities to 30-years ago when Super League, professional summer Rugby League and Bradford Bulls were all born. “Today’s changes, whilst not as seismic as our name change in 1996, are nevertheless an important day in our club’s history. Our new club crest perfectly captures the direction of the future Bradford Bulls. “It’s more confident, aggressive and defiant, which is exactly the philosophy and approach we’ll be taking into Super League, both on the field and off it, in terms of our marketing and media approach. “Whilst we have the same heart, the same pride, we’re also coming back as a different beast. “Everyone in UK Rugby League has an opinion on Bradford Bulls. That’s fine, you’re entitled to one. To all our loyal fans, let’s embrace our next collective challenge and hit Super League full on, with numbers, colour, noise and passion. Loved, hated, or adored, but never ignored – RUN with the Bulls!”

TPLF used Flawed Historical Justification for Ceding the entire Red Sea Coast to Eritrea The TPLF relied on a selective and oversimplified interpretation of history in recognizing Eritrea's independence and ceding the entire Red sea shore in 1993. They treated Eritrea as a distinct colonial entity entitled to the full territorial extent of the former Italian colony, including the entire Red Sea coastline, against the 1950 UN resolution. This resulted in Ethiopia becoming landlocked, a strategic and economic disadvantage that contradicted deeper historical, cultural, and international legal precedents. A key element of this justification appears to stem from claims emphasizing Eritrea's origins as an Italian colonial creation. In the attached interview the late Foreign Minister Seyoum Mesfin suggested Eritrea emerged as a distinct entity around the late 19th century, when Italy occupied Eritrea, endorsed through Wuchale treaty. While it is true that "Eritrea" was an artificial construct imposed by colonial powers, the people share deep historical ties with the Ethiopian interior (language, culture, religion, and historical governance). Recognizing this ties, the United Nations deliberated Eritrea's future as a former Italian colony and rather than granting outright independence or partitioning the territory, the General Assembly adopted Resolution 390 (V) on December 2, 1950, following Italy's defeat in World War II. This resolution explicitly federated Eritrea with Ethiopia as an autonomous unit under Ethiopian sovereignty, effective September 1952. The federation was grounded in several key considerations that superseded pure colonial boundaries: The resolution recognized longstanding ethnic, linguistic, and historical connections between Eritrean and Ethiopian peoples. Eritrea's viability was linked to Ethiopia, including shared trade routes and Ethiopia's need for sea access. As the victor over Italian colonial aggression, Ethiopia had strong historical and strategic interests in the Red Sea coast. Unlike many African decolonization cases, the UN did not treat Eritrea as entitled to automatic separation based solely on Italian borders. The federation effectively reintegrated it, overriding the colonial division while balancing self-determination with regional realities. The federation's dissolution by Emperor Haile Selassie in 1962 was indeed a violation of the UN arrangement too. However, when de facto independence was achieved in 1991 and formalized via referendum in 1993, the TPLF-led Ethiopian government accepted the full colonial-era boundaries without contesting their applicability. This included Assab, a port acquired separately by Italy from the Afar Sultanates and historically peripheral to the Eritrean highlands, despite weaker ethnic or historical ties to the core Eritrean identity. By endorsing this framework, rooted in the principle of ‘uti possidetis juris’ as upheld by the Organization of African Unity, the TPLF-led government either misunderstood or deliberately overlooked the unique status of the 1952 UN federation. That resolution had already "corrected" the colonial imposition by prioritizing historical unity and Ethiopia's maritime interests. Accepting the colonial borders wholesale permanently closed Ethiopia's direct access to the Red Sea, transforming a historically maritime power into a landlocked state. Whether this stemmed from political expediency, given that TPLF is in strong alliance with the Eritrean People's Liberation Front during the struggle against the Derg or incomplete grasp of the nuanced international precedents, the outcome disregarded Ethiopia's long-term national interests and the balanced approach embodied in UN Resolution 390 (V), and it is clearly reflected in this interview.
