🚨Elizabeth May says after working in parliament with 3 different prime ministers this is the worst she’s ever seen. Democracy is slipping away.

Her voting with Trudeau and Carney Liberals helped this tragic fall along and she should be ashamed of herself. She voted with the budget to avoid an election.

I'm certainly not on board with Green Party goals and issues but hearing Elizabeth May speak like this after years of championing Liberal legislation is an eye-opener for sure.

@KieserBill Democracy slipped away long before Carney. May voted in favour of invoking the Emergency Act in 2022 to silence Canadians from protesting against government overreach. There is nothing honourable about any politician who silences or censors Canadians who criticize this GOC.

I rarely agree with Elizabeth May. But she is right on the money with this statement. Carney has killed democracy in Canada. From stealing/bribing his way into a majority government he was not elected to hold to this.

Ms. May has had many opportunities to show that when the government was hanging by a thread, but chose to vote with the government on numerous occasions. Only when the government has a clear majority does she stand up and complain.
