Ella Fitzgerald was the queen, no question.

She has a version of Angel Eyes that kills me every time. What a voice and she had such control of it.

The best.

No question!

Sure was and still is

Second best mezzo soprano of all time

It’s not easy to describe her because her voice was perfect, really perfect, but at the same time warm, sweet, funny, strong, lyrical, powerful, delicate. Perfect, the clearest one: you can think inexpressive. Instead…

April 13 1991 @RadioCity last time she performed, I was in attendance. $76 bucks for 2, I had a connection with the stage manager.

Named my daughter after her. That voice will never be matched

The best

Her and Big Mama Thornton. I'm dying on this hill.

A Queen

Best female singer of all time ❤️

How much I listened to her music since my early 20's!

N°1 Definitely 👑

Give me Sarah.

Qué voooooz

Absolutely. I couldn’t agree more.

Beaucoup entendu en France, pour cause. Mais Sarah Vaughan, Carmen mcrae, Betty Carter, sont autant inoubliables.

Goddess

Agree 💯. Her phrasing…tone…command of a song and all with no dubbing…no voice over tracks….best ever!

Absolutely 💯

Yazzz 🔥🔥🔥

Queen no doubt

The One

Aren't she just famous for her Christmas medley

Or Billie Holiday

Yes.

Effortless.

❤️

I agree with you
