The Office of Personnel Management sent an email to more than two million federal employees on Saturday asking them to list five things they accomplished at work that week. They were given a Monday at midnight deadline to respond, but Elon Musk, head of the Department of Government Efficiency, said on Tuesday employees who had not written back would be given a second chance. If they did not respond, however, they would be terminated. OMP clarified on Monday that individual agencies could decide how to respond, despite Musk's threat. It is unclear how many federal employees responded to the request.
