Earth is not "tiny" — we've barely scratched its surface. Only ~1% of land is urban. Half of habitable land is agriculture (mostly inefficient livestock). Vertical farming, lab meat & better yields could free up massive space. Oceans cover 70% of the planet — almost untouched for advanced food, energy & resources. Humanity's energy use is a tiny fraction of Earth's solar, wind, geothermal & nuclear potential. We’ve raised Earth’s carrying capacity many times through innovation. Plenty of room left with smarter tech & management. Space is a great long-term goal, but Earth is far from maxed out. 🌍

Totally disagree. Oceans are a source of life. They possess resources we know mostly nothing about. Exploring our oceans -jointly- for protection and advancement of all species should be the ideal. Why go so far when we have more than what we need/want right here. Space exploration is a good expansion to our limited knowledge and capability. Oceans are huge. Human and animal population is tiny (except insects) compared to the land mass and utterly insignificant when compared to our oceans. Our knowledge of sciences, as taught in our schools and universities, is extremely limited. Just because biased "academies" hands out things like Nobels means nothing. Western tradition is very confrontational and science was never learned or acquired like that. We have a very limited ethno-centric perspective here, we only recently advanced from industrialization. That does not mean we should not stop space exploration. Au contraire. You should pursue your dream. The reward must be relative to the risk. What are we getting out of these endeavors? I totally agree that moonshots can shift the production frontier.

That's amazing the way God has set up the universe. We live on a small planet in a small solar. Nevertheless, we hold an important part. The sun giving out most of the energy in the solar system is essential for life on earth. Yet even with that, the Earth has magnetic shield, or it will get fried by the sun. There is a delicate balance to the solar system that enables life, physical life that is on Earth. Yet, we can with full assurance that God, that is Jesus Christ, Who created and sustains the universe by His Word, holds the Earth in the palm of hand, because He holds the whole universe together by His Word.

Maybe we focus on improving humanity so we can actually add to the universe as we expand our reach. As it stands now we would not be very interesting as a species which can take care of its basic needs and is constantly killing one another.
