Elon Musk: good or bad?

Musk doesn't buy assets, he starts companies, creates jobs and builds things that people want. He doesn't even own homes.

Interview:

Piers Morgan attempting to goad saying ‘stop playing the victim’. Mate 😂

Bad. The biggest myth about extreme wealth is that it's simply the reward for talent and hard work in a fair system. The ultra-wealthy don't just succeed within the rules, they spend enormous resources lobbying politicians and governments to shape those rules in their favour. Wealth doesn't just buy luxury; it buys influence, and influence helps preserve wealth. Musk has done exactly this. Literally buying the presidency, leveraging himself into a role to deregulate his own industries, and then to lobby to change the financial regulations that made the Space X IPO possible. This is what we have to change. If we don't we'll all end up victims of governments that are pracitcally owned by the ultra-wealthy, with our interests playing second fiddle to theirs. An except of my upcoming book that offers a blueprint to solve this at a global level.

Christ he's so thick, it's infuriating. Passive income? Does he think Musk is a buy-to-let landlord?

With @PiersUncensored

Great message on the simple mathematical reality of the ultra-rich squeezing out other economic actors and Piers is still a cunt

The obsession with Musk isn't about his wealth, it's about his politics. If he acted like Dale Vince, banged on about net zero and used his platform to promote "from the river to the sea" then Gary wouldn't give a crap. Jeff Bezos is as rich as Musk and they never mention him because he keeps his head down on politics and the Middle Class twunts Gary appeals to quite like being able to order a desk fan whilst sat on their couch and have delivered to their door within 24 hours by an immigrant in less than the minimum wage

A trillionaire like Elon musk does not have $1tb cash invested producing 10% yield. $100bn a year passive income are you for real? His wealth is in stock valuation. It’s not liquid or redeemable in any way. If he liquidating his holdings he would receive a fraction of the calculated total valuation.

As always, what Gary states is just simple logic. There are one or two altruistic very rich people but they are few and far between. The term "new feudal state" sums up where we are heading if we follow the American model.

No retard. The value of money fluctuates according to the amount of goods. If someone is producing goods, Elon, and gets a lot of money, the price of things he doesn't own goes down, as a function of the money supply being stable. He won't "own everything".

Piers Morgan, reminding everyone that he’s still a cunt.

A simpleton simplifies things to a vague subjective question. But I will play along, do the same and ask you one myself - are you as thick as you pretend to be for the lucrative grift?

Good. Musk's companies have generated and innovated. When anti-tax people use rich people innovating and creating jobs as an example, Musk is a rare data point for this. Eyes should be on those who do not use assets productively. Musk is the wrong person to focus on

He bought all the run down houses in my shitty street in Bradford! Greedy billionaires you are right Gary

To buy assets with this ‘passive income’ that @jezzcokenomics thinks he’s identified (its capital growth) you have to REALISE the value first. Ie sell the asset, and at that point you trigger tax. DUH.

A useful analogy is the board game Monopoly where the winner owns the entire board: Gary is discussing the long‑run economic implications, while Peirs deflects by implying you must dislike billionaires.

Fuck off piers moron! Calling you out for being a rude piece of shit for interrupting someone is NOT “playing the victim”. Ironically, him being butt-hurt over being called out IS playing the victim.

Does this guy think Elon is buying up every house in the land? Every square mile of land? Is Elon buying companies? Factories? Isn’t he building factories ? Building rockets? Curing blindness and paralysis ? Lord I hate this guy

You understanding of economics is remarkably poor. Let’s start there big mouth.

@grok how much wealth has Musk created for others and how much has his tax contribution been from himself and the total tax contributions from the businesses he’s built? And is he now not a trillionaire again as SpaceX share price dipped?

Wow, how is an ex-trader so illiterate about how companies actually work? In the SpaceX IPO, approx 4,400 Spacex Staff became millionaires and he has employed ~140K staff at Tesla. Musk personally paid $10.8B in tax when he exercised Tesla shares.

Very, very bad to the point of extreme evil.

Elon Musk’s character should tell you everything. Jealously called a cave diver “Pedo Guy” because he wanted to be the hero in the epic Thai cave rescue. Offers women his sperm to make his legion & was a friend of Epstein. There’s more. He’s a weird tedious fraud.

Gary, Musk isn’t buying assets. 99.9+ of his net worth is shares employed in making life better for everyone. Saving lives. He is not typical. You have picked on virtually the only billionaires that totally undermines your case completely. Why ?

Elon Musk holds the record for the largest single individual tax payment on record. In 2021, he paid approximately $11 billion in US federal income taxes. And you, Gary?

Elon Musk is not UK tax payer...

Am I wrong here but I swear Elon doesn’t even own his home? He’s not buying assets that everyday people would buy? The vast majority of his wealth is in stock of his companies. He has started the best companies in history. It’s a complete lie to say he’s buying family homes

Christ Pier Morgan is painful.

What’s the calculation on this? You seem to be assuming it’s all in cash or something similar. A stock price going up isn’t a passive yearly income.

Elon, richest man in the world, doesn’t own a bunch of properties. I hope you’re seeing the reaction across the internet regarding Piers and your silly, edited documentary because you have been found out and you need to quit.

You're getting a lot of flak on X since the documentary Gary but I'm just glad somebody with a platform is actually asking the right questions.

- worked in a furnace for money . 90% of the workers quit. He didn’t. Took a risk and it paid off. - slept in his office and lived off pizza . Took a risk and it paid off. - one of the first to utilise the internet to list businesss. That’s where his first big cash was made. Not a bloody gem mine. Took a risk and it paid off. - PayPal he Took a risk and it paid off. - Solar City he Took a risk and it paid off. - Tesla he Took a risk and it paid off. - Boring Company he Took a risk and it paid off. - Space x he Took a risk and it paid off. - Star link he Took a risk and it paid off. - Optimus he Took a risk and it paid off. - Neural link he Took a risk and it paid off. All of these risks created jobs and generated tax money. We have to stop demonizing successful. Take a risk.

What assets is he preventing you from buying?

Elon is not buying $100B assets with untaxed passive income, he is building these assets with well paid employees, who are already rich shareholders.
