🚨 ELON MUSK: "Having two planets that are both self sustaining and strong, is going to be incredibly important for the long term survival of civilization, because there's always some chance that humans, could do something crazy, like World War 3, or that there could be some natural event...

The NASA Transition Authorization Act of 2025 allocates $25.5 billion to advance deep space exploration, including $7.6 billion for the Exploration Systems Development Mission Directorate overseeing Artemis and Mars initiatives. This aligns with Musk's vision—Section 204 mandates development of human-rated lunar landing systems as stepping stones for Mars, while Section 302 funds commercial low-Earth orbit platforms to accelerate off-world infrastructure. The bill’s $1.1 billion Space Technology budget directly supports cryogenic fluid management (Section 403) critical for Mars fuel production. But let’s be clear: Washington’s track record of cost overruns threatens these ambitions. The Artemis program’s SLS rocket has already burned $23.8 billion through 2025—a 30% budget blowout since 2020. Meanwhile, Section 802 requires GAO reviews of NASA’s cost estimates to prevent another Mars Sample Return debacle, which ballooned to $11 billion before restructuring. Musk’s right about multiplanetary redundancy, but success demands ruthless efficiency. The bill’s $4.4 billion for Space Operations must prioritize commercial partnerships over bureaucratic bloat. Every dollar wasted on Earth delays the first Martian city.

Elon Musk & SpaceX are legit blowing up space travel! 🚀 They’ve got the gear to take us past those old-school roadblocks and straight to the stars. We’re finally free to explore—let’s go! 🌌

but I thought we had to go to mars because the earth is dying? how is musk going to sustain life there? by STEALING earth's resources!? How will water be provided? or will our Martian earthlings just recycle their piss? What magic does elon have that will regenerate mars, let alone maintain earth's "strength" derivative sci-fi, stolen from better men.

Sounds like Elon's thinking ahead, but let's not forget we've got one planet right now that needs some serious fixing - our own! Time to focus on making Earth great again before we start eyeing Mars.

I'm with Elon on this one. Spreading humanity to other planets is the ultimate insurance policy. Plus, who doesn't want to see humans living among the stars? It's like straight out of a sci-fi movie!

That's one of America's strengths. To dream a little dream. It is not what is believed to be impossible, but the possibilities of what could be possible...

Absolutely inspiring vision, Elon! Expanding humanity beyond Earth not only safeguards our civilization against existential risks but also fuels innovation and unites us with a shared purpose. Turning science fiction into reality will push the boundaries of what’s possible and open up a future full of discovery for generations to come. Keep leading the way!

If humanity does not evolve to the point of no longer being distructive, it will destroy Mars too, or any other place it goes to. There is no reason to assume that those who are evil on Earth will act differently on Mars.

It is a good vision, & will act as many on here have said an ins policy for humanity. I'm wondering if terraforming part of Mars is in Elons plans! Perhaps on Mars a new element or isotope may be found, to bring back to earth to develop.

🫀Elon wants to make sure in future the word 'fiction' itself wouldnot be used about space exploration any more ..it sounds so far away but i have a strong faith that it WILL ... thanks to Elon and his determination next generations will live those eras

Since the dawn of time, humans have tracked the Moon, noted its changes, and recognized our undeniable connection to its monthly ebbs and flows. Emotions, sleep, menstruation, and love life have all been associated with the moon. The moon exerts a powerful gravitational pull that influences the changing tides of our oceans and seas. Without this, Earth's ocean currents would experience the ultimate slowdown of ultimate stagnation. Now let's venture further into space to investigate our planet Earth. Celestial bodies are in constant motion. There is no fixed position in space from which one can observe absolute motion. Since all motion is relative, the position of the observer must be noted when discussing planetary motion. From the Earth, we see apparent motions of celestial bodies on the celestial sphere. In considering how planets follow their orbits around the Sun, we assume a hypothetical observer at some distant point in space. The hierarchies of motions in the universe are caused by the force of gravity. As a result of gravity, bodies attract each other in proportion to their masses and to the inverse square of the distances between them. This force causes the planets to go around the sun in nearly circular, elliptical orbits. For a moment, consider this: what would happen to our planet Earth? If the water were to evaporate, vanish, finish, or disappear, what would happen to all the plants and animals, all the creatures? Of course, our planet would turn into a cosmic corpse, a great moon. Because the Moon is approximately 1/400th the diameter of the Sun and 1/400th the distance from it, the Sun and the Moon appear to be the same size in the sky. This remarkable coincidence, which is not shared by any other planet-moon combination in the solar system, makes total solar eclipses very photogenic. Our oceans and seas experience tide changes due to the moon's powerful gravitational pull. The ocean currents on Earth would eventually slow down and stagnate in the absence of this.

The thing that's strange to me in the vastness of space we are so tiny, how can Space Daddy say there's no chance of life out there besides the human race?
