99% of cars will be electric and autonomous in the future. Manually-driven gasoline cars will be like riding a horse while using a flip phone. Still happens, but it’s rare.

@elonmusk They're speaking it into existence. But we're not buying it. In America our cars are emotional. We work on them and modify them to perform better. The smells and sounds of a car are parts of our memories that can't be replaced by the hum of an electric motor. 🙄

@elonmusk I'm going to be entirely honest, I have zero interest in electric vehicles ..... but if they made EV's that looked like pre-90's vehicles, I would get one. Fuck futuristic minimalism, if you can get me an EV that looks like this, I will absolutely buy one!

@elonmusk Im 100% with Jeremy here. I'm a big fan of Elon but as far as EV's go, its a no for me.

@elonmusk Clarkson is right, and he's a man who knows cars. Coincidentally, he considered the S2000 to be one of the best sports cars ever made. He's right on that as well.

@elonmusk I'm in total agreement. You can fake the sounds and all the other stuff but an electric motor in my eyes will never compare to the good old gas engine

@elonmusk Right I love that my hemi sounds like it does 😁. And I love not tearing up the environment for lithium batteries when they're safer more sustainable applications for fuel

@elonmusk Me too. My daily driver '99 F150 has a Triton V8. Even after all these years, the sound of that motor when you stomp your gas pedal down to the floor is pure music. 181K miles and it still responds like new.
