.@elonmusk .@realDonaldTrump In conjunction with your D.O.G.E. efforts, there should be a concerted effort to educate the public on where the government gets its money (taxpayers, loans, printing money out of thin air, etc) and how all those free government programs are not actually free. If more people understood that they themselves (and their children) are the ones subsidizing all of these programs, they'd be far less willing to go along with it. The first change I'd make is how we talk about government spending. Instead of, "Do you support an EV subsidy," the question would be, "Do you support Americans having more money taken out of their paychecks so that it can be given to you to build your EV company?" Or, "Do you support the government printing more money, which drives up inflation, so that it can be given to a multi-million dollar company to grow their business?" It's time to connect the dots.

@elonmusk I'm pretty sure this interview was from December 2021. Almost a year before he took over Twitter, even. Grave concerns about America's spending is not a new thing for him.

I know @elonmusk is a genius but honestly anyone with common sense and an honest work ethic could figure this out. Those people have been censored and vilified. I am exceedingly grateful to Elon for being the voice for most Americans and providing a platform where we can share real concerns.
