I’m increasingly inclined to think there should be some regulatory oversight, maybe at the national and international level, just to make sure we don’t do something very foolish. There’s something sad about watching a humanoid robot do a mindless task knowing it’s capable of so much more. Feels like a mirror. Maybe the robot/ai uprising won’t destroy us… maybe it’ll push us to finally become who we’re meant to be. Elon Musk visions for the future and mars can only be achieved when humans stop with the drudge of daily life.
