First principles thinking is basically Elon refusing to accept the “because that’s how it’s always done” answer. At Tesla and SpaceX, the question is not only how to make the old thing better. Filipino pop group SB19 recently made a surprise stop in Hong Kong and held their first concert there at MacPherson. Since the five heartthrobs flew in, we of course arranged an interview and even helped A’TIN score some perks! We released physics-intern: a simple harness for science problems! It gets models like Gemini 3.1 Pro to go from 17.7 -> 31.4, thus beating GPT 5.5 Pro. The physics-intern harness can wrap any model and via dedicated subagent boost the performance of the vanilla reasoning models. While I think more and more of these harness capability gains will be absorbed into the models (like prompting tricks disappeared over time) there is a lot to be gained right now by building good scaffolds for those models and integrating tools well. Interestingly, the exception we found that GPT 5.5 Pro actually didn't benefit from the physics-intern harness! Read more about it here: PS: I think the Harness[Model] notation is kind of nice.

Actually Japanese fans have a culture of being respectful and very strict about following rules and it’s so evident in all the videos. They barely even used their phones and they are really enjoying that moment with boys. Jcoers actually killed it 🤌🏻 They should give fans from each country priority access to tickets on the first day then open sales to everyone else... If coers from other countries are going to Japan PYPD in future either respect and follow their culture or simply don't go there

Update on LAT Aerospace Our first uSTOL technology demonstrator is ready. Today, we have a fully-electric, fixed-wing UAV, built from scratch and almost ready for flight. To make this possible in just a few months, we built our entire flight lab from scratch. Every bench, every tool, every fixture designed to push the aircraft closer to flight every single day. This aircraft is designed to takeoff in 40 meters (thanks to a massive CL of 5 which is more than 2x of what you see on most aircraft). Endurance of 60 minutes. With a range of being able to cruise autonomously from Mumbai to Pune. Ground rolls done. As I type this, we are pushing hard to get the bird in the air. Hopefully it doesn't blow up. Either way, I promise videos of our attempt sometime over the next few weeks. We have learnt so much over the last few months, and I am sure that there are a lot of hard learnings yet in store for us. Our research on hybrid-electric propulsion is already in full swing, and we’ve also started building a team to begin development on our own gas turbine engines. This is one of the hardest engineering challenges possible. Our team is relentlessly at it to make this a reality before the turn of this decade. Today is Thursday and we are collecting Thursday trash and compost today (though maybe not at the same time that you usually receive collection). Recycling collection may be a little behind. Snow operations continue, too. We continue to plow, haul, and clear snow from all over – and have now melted 215,000,000 pounds of it!

Jonathan Mi, an electrical design engineer at Shield AI, mentored Team 4414, HighTide, who took first place across 93,000 students, 3,700 teams, and 35 countries. They designed, programmed, and built their robot from scratch. Watch what it does. The strongest engineers build up everyone around them. That's who we hire. Congrats to HighTide, and when graduation comes, you know where to find us! Autonomy for the world. The greatest victory requires no war.

Today, we’re pulling back more of the curtain on the in-house teams and technology that will bring the Ford Universal Electric Vehicle to life. More than half of our aero team came from the Formula 1 world, where air is either your greatest ally or most punishing enemy - and every curve matters. From the sculpted roofline to the underbody, our teams are chasing physics in search of longer range and lower cost for our customers. Our new mid-size electric truck’s aerodynamic efficiency is more than 15% better than any other pickup truck on the market today. “To the air, it’s no longer a truck”. From a zonal architecture and 48V low-voltage system, to the new in-house E-Box, and smaller and lighter wire harnesses, the team is obsessing over every detail with UEV. Our aim is to have a family of vehicles that we expect to compete on price with the best in the world, including gas vehicles. And they will be FUN to drive!
