This is Gold. Great response. All the GOP has to offer us are made up culture wars. This is jot the time for Democrats to get distracted. Stay on topic. Affordability. Trump’s corruption. The illegal war in Iran. Epstein files. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

FINALLY, someone who directly calls these Sunday morning mouthpieces out on this stuff! I had never even heard of Hasan Piker before he suddenly became MAGA and establishment Dems' go-to boogeyman, I barely know anything about him now, but unless he's actively involved WHO CARES

El-Sayed's right. Gas, groceries and a president clearing $2.2 billion in a year is not only a Michigan kitchen-table issue, but a countrywide issue.

@weijia is so embarrassing and shows the totality of the media's failures to cover campaigns of the candidates. Congrats to all those dems/centrists out there who elevated Piker into the media pipeline.🙄🙄🙄

"I'm asking because Republicans made it a major attack on you." Well, he just answered you. Republicans have nothing to offer Michigan families based on their record, so they need you to pretend a Twitch streamer in California is running for Senate instead of Abdul El-Sayed. And a network like .@CBSNews should not help legitimize that attack by asking about it three times in one interview while millions of Americans are maxing out credit cards just to survive. Republicans cannot talk about rent. They cannot talk about groceries. They cannot talk about healthcare. They cannot talk about tariffs raising costs. They cannot talk about the Trump family making billions while working people get handed the bill. So they drag out Hasan Piker, a California streamer most voters had never heard of until Republicans decided he mattered more than whether families can afford food or see a doctor. I've follow politics closely since early 2000s and have never heard of Piker till Fox brought him up. Piker said something stupid years ago. El-Sayed called it stupid and made clear that Piker does not speak for his campaign. Period. Yet you all keep asking it because Republicans want it to be the story. That is not serious journalism. Ask the candidate how he will lower costs. Ask what he will do about healthcare. Ask why working families are struggling while the president's family makes billions. Do not turn guilt by association into the issue of a Michigan Senate race. Leave that to propaganda networks like Fox and Newsmax.

It has to be exhausting for @AbdulElSayed @AngieNixon and others, that the media is just accepting the Republican talking point as THE issue of the day instead of the issues that are actually affecting

She said it right there at the beginning & end “Several Republicans did continue to mention” & “Republicans have made it a big attack on you”. That needs repeating. Republicans are talking about it so they don’t have to talk about the president or their nonexistent policies

WATCH: Dr. Abdul El-Sayed melts down after Weijia Jiang's second pass at a Hasan Piker question, claiming it is the third. El-Sayed subsequently name-drops Piker into his response to a question about working with Republicans. WEIJIA JIANG: Well, there are Jewish voters in your state who are concerned about your relationship with Piker. You have condemned antisemitism but not called out his rhetoric directly. Why not? ABDUL EL-SAYED: Weijia, with all due respect this is the third time you've asked about a Twitch streamer in California. I've done four events in Michigan this week. You know what didn't come up? Twitch streamers in California. You know what did come up? Grocery prices. The fact that people can't see a doctor. The worry that they have about the quality of air and water. I'm not interested in having a conversation with streamers in California because they are not raising the prices of gas and groceries. I'm more interested in having a conversation about tariff policies and trade wars we shouldn't be fighting, about hot wars with Iran, about AI which I know we were supposed to talk about right now. So let's actually talk about the issues that are affecting people instead of getting distracted by whatever the president says we should be talking about. Their whole game is to make us fight culture wars so that we don't pay attention to the fact that the president has made $2.2 billion. His family has made even more. How about your family in Michigan? How about your ability to afford the basic things? How about the ability to believe you could see a doctor without having to potentially fall into medical debt? Those are the conversations that people are having. Those are the conversations I'm interested in having. So yeah, I'm not all that interested in having a conversation about a Twitch streamer, forgive me, when people can't afford their gas and their groceries. JIANG: Understood, Doctor. But Republicans have made it a big attack on you, so I wanted to give you the chance to clarify.

Shuler: If you think about every industrial revolution we’ve been through, working people have helped us make that transition. It’s really because we’ve helped tame the technology and figured out how to use it in the most effective way. So I think your question about augmentation versus replacement is the big question we have. If we can all agree that this is about making our jobs better, safer, easier, and more productive, then we’re all in. But if you’re looking to de-skill, dehumanize, and replace workers, to put people out on the street with no path forward, then absolutely you’re going to have a revolution. So I think that’s something we all need to be very real about and think seriously about. If we’re going to have productivity gains, working people—the ones who make these industries happen—need to share in that. There hasn’t been a lot of discussion about that here. Of course, in terms of how we create policies, how we create tax infrastructure, whether or not we are redistributing—yes, that word is a dirty word around here—we need to talk about it and confront how we’re going to make sure working people share in the gains of these technologies. And if you look at the numbers of jobs, let’s talk about job quality. Yes, maybe there are a lot of jobs created, but what kind of jobs are we talking about? Are they jobs that can sustain a family? Is it a job where people can actually work one job? One job should be enough.

🚨 🗣 Mikel Arteta on the decision to award Sunderland a penalty: "Look, the first question we have to discuss is that this is NOT ACCEPTABLE at this level. "It was a beautiful game of football, with two teams and an atmosphere in the stadium that was unbelievable, with Sunderland they are so organised; they are so good in so many phases, they have great players, they created a lot of issues we had to cope with. "We had to cope with all of that, it was a lot in a really difficult week after Chelsea and Napoli, and on top of that we have to go through what we've done today that in my opinion is NOT ACCEPTABLE. "I watched it 20 times, and I CANNOT find a way to understand how they even think to give a penalty in that situation, or the way the VAR has to intervene. "So I don't know what to think, but I'm SAD that we have to discuss in such a beautiful game something at this level that has the gravity of that, because that CHANGES the course of the season and can cost you the championship. "At this level, with all the work that we put in, this cannot happen. I cannot find an explanation - that's why I'm going to try and find an explanation now. "I want to be talking about how good we were, how good Sunderland were, and the level of the league and how beautiful this is - we should not be talking about that. "I cannot find an explanation - that's why I'm going to try and find an explanation now." 🗣️ On a very important victory: "I want to be talking about how good we were, how good Sunderland were, and the level of the league and how beautiful this is - we should not be talking about [refereeing decisions]." 🗣️ on whether the referee gave an explanation: No! (shakes head)
