I get what they were going for with this pilot, the idea had potential. But half of the main cast was just insufferable. Their trivia battle at the end was a cherry on top of a weird sundae. Hits too close to home because these are the guys people AVOID in nerd hobbies.

The potential it had to become an Adult Swim classic and go further into the problems of toxic fandom like the comic did

A case of good premises but bad timing. Released today this show would’ve been successful.

I wish this would have been picked up. I love Evan Dorkin's work.

One can only imagine the effect this show would have if it actually got more episodes. But knowing the original it probably would’ve changed a LOT of perspective on geeks!

This post sent me on a journey to find the issue of Wizard's Magazine I had when I was a kid. I found it, Issue no. 99! Featured the Eltingville Club comic strip, "Unstable Molecules," where Josh set himself on fire and "won" the Wizard's Halloween Costume Contest.

I love this pilot but man the zit jokes were terrible

Ahhh Eltingville Club Show 😭 Pure chaotic nerd energy, every episode just goes all out with obsession and madness.

Really wish it got a whole animated series. It still could but that's just hopeful thinking from me.

Its crazy how revelant this comic and its pilot has stayed. The only thing that would be different is they would have a podcast if it was made today
