Emanuel: But when tariffs go up, 401(k)s go down, consumers pull back, and when consumers pull back, the economy tips over. That’s just how it works. I worked for two administrations that tirelessly fought every single day—24/7, 365 days a year—to get us out of a recession and build...

Bill Clinton fixed an economy a Republican broke. Barack Obama fixed an economy a Republican broke. Joe Biden fixed an economy a Republican broke. But sure. Keep voting for Republicans.

Exactly—Trump’s billionaire cabinet won’t feel the pain, but everyday Americans will.

Tariffs don’t hurt the people writing the policy. They hurt the people filling prescriptions, buying groceries, and watching their 401k bleed. You don’t fix inflation by taxing imports and crossing your fingers. That’s not strategy, it’s economic cosplay.

Following the Argentina model. Incite a recession and theoretically reset interest rates and lower prices. In reality, he is going to shoot the economy in the foot. Hope he can stop the bleeding. SMH.

And pain to what end?? There’s no pot of gold at the end of this rainbow. Only higher prices, lower economic growth, and less wealth to go around. We are being led by clowns.

@MeidasTouch Dow dropped 700 points and tech stocks dropped 400….just today. Almost a sure bet Trump will put us in a recession very soon. This shit didn’t happen under Biden. It’s Trump’s economy now and he’s proving how bankruptcy happens.

Some people don't realize it's not an acorn falling on their head, but it really IS the sky falling. Hopefully, it won't be too late. Trump still thinks he's the Emperor with new clothes. Don't know when people are going to realize Trump is the Pied Piper and they're the rats!

Hey Baron I’ll answer for Erika. As a mom that has kids and a husband who travels during the week and has kids in the bed occasionally…..my husband gets up early to get on flights. 2 or 3 am. I may hear my husband when he gets up but usually I just go back to sleep. With or without the kids in the bed. I don’t get up with him. As a matter of fact he hates it when I do. He says it makes it harder to leave because I tell him I wish he didn’t have to go and I’ll miss him and it breaks his heart to leave. Yea I admit it I do make it hard for him to leave. But then he texts me when he gets to the airport and when he lands and all during the day. And at night we FaceTime. Do you know that Erika and Charlie didn’t have this kind of relationship? No you don’t. Because you weren’t there. How do you know that this doesn’t destroy her that she didn’t get up with him that morning? Do you have cameras on her 24/7? You are truly an unbelievable asshole. But anything to keep the hate going right? And of course since you are a failed attorney you need as many clicks as you can get to pay your bills. Gotta pay those bills. Money over morals. I can’t wait until trial when all your BS lies are debunked. Your fall will be epic and well deserved. I don’t know how you sleep at night knowing one day you’ll have to answer for everything you’ve done to this woman by God. Hope you have a good excuse ready. But if I were you I’d be a little worried about my soul.

Al Pacino says Francis Ford Coppola sat him down a few weeks into filming The Godfather and showed him footages of his performance saying he wasn’t impressed and he was sure he was about to be fired Al Pacino: “Because when I walked in there, again, that was a big thing for me to walk into Gingerman. Because I didn’t go there because I didn’t have money to buy the drinks.” “So I went in there, and Francis was eating with his family, and I was standing there, and he says, ‘We had a talk.’” “So I thought, well, here we go, you know? We’re not going to go anywhere.” “He tells me, ‘You know, I had faith in you. I believed in you.’” “I said, ‘Yeah, I know,’ but it’s—well, you’re not— I don’t know what to do now. What do I say now?” “He says, ‘Well, I only show you the rushes, the footage that we had shot already, and that was going to see something.’” “So I went and saw the rushes, and I’m looking at the screen, and I’m seeing mistakes.” “I was hoping that I could blend in with the scenery and not be seen specifically, or, you know, spotted.” “I just wanted to just blend and just be natural.” “And I thought, well, I know this, the way it looks now, but that’s part of what is going to turn into Michael Corleone.” “So, of course, like I said, two friends, naturally, the actor’s instinct, I just said, ‘Yeah, I see what you mean. That always quiets everybody down. I see, I see what you’re saying.’” “Yes. Sure, yeah, yeah, I’ll work on that.” “I thought, well. Then I thought I was out. And I sort of wanted to be out.”
