Makers of hedgehog houses send me their wares for me to trial, and hopefully give them a recommendation. This is one that is far too small and poorly made to survive putting outside, so I've left it inside a cold frame by the hospital, with some food and water, in case a casual diner wants somewhere to nap between meals. But as you can hear this dear little girl chose to get into bed as the dawn chorus broke (and get up again for bedtime snack😋), even in this heat, so clearly she was in dire need. Those scabby looking lumps you can see in her fur along her left side are the beginnings of mange. And the poo she left me was teeming with round and lungworm. I've named her Anya, and she is now safely in the spacious and beautifully cool air-conditioned hospital, starting her treatment. And I'm hoping that softly rounded tummy is full of roundworm, not babies!😁
