Then you get it to the shop and they tell you that they can’t patch it because you screwed it up with that plug and you end up buying at least one more new tire.

Lol he did it wrong but OK... also not safe on a motorcycle tire at all. Only use these on a car if you will be replacing the tire ASAP. Don't use near side walls or corners of tires either.

I have run plugs in sportbike tires many times. At first I was nervous but never had 1 problem. When the tread would get low I would do a big burnout and they still did not fail. I had a similar kit with CO2 cartridges to inflate the tire.
