Why does the CC put in place that which is contrary to scripture? “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.” John 14:26 KJV

Who is the "you" in that verse? The apostles. The Holy Spirit does not lead thousands of sects into mutually exclusive and competing doctrines producing confusion. The keys were given to St. Peter with the authority to bind and loose. Christ breathed on the apostle. Please stop with your Ouija Board Christianity

Nope! Rome was excommunicated in 1054 and now teaches heresy and is led by an apostate heretic. Don’t worry, the rest of the Petrine sees and the other apostolic sees that are just as old as Rome are still here! We’re taking care of that interpretation.

Wrong Jesus gave us His Spirit to lead us into all truth The Catholic system holds people prisoner to sacraments, tradition and the whims of its leadership

Sacred Scripture is inerrant (materially sufficient), but not infallible (formally sufficient) as fallibility and infallibility requires an active agent, an interpreter. This attempt at resolving infallibility typically involves someone making an appeal to the Holy Spirit as the interpreter or their own infallibility, but one need not but look around to see how this is inaccurate for the individual in its expression within Protestantism with its mutually exclusive and competing doctrines. The Holy Spirit is not a spirit of confusion which is what the Bible alone approach produces. We have Sacred Scripture (inerrancy) and The Church (infallibility), which completes the deposit of faith. The keys were given to Peter (reference to stewardship of Isa 22:22 including succession) and Christ breathed on the apostles and gave them authority. "He who hears you [apostles], hears me. He who rejects you rejects me. He who rejects me rejects the one who sent me." (Luke 10:16) We know, moreover, that the church is the pillar and bulwark of the truth (1 Tim 3:15) and that we are to submit to the Church leaders (Heb 13:7). And there would be a lot of other verses to substantiate the claim as well.

Oh that's such a dangerous place to be Raz. I say this to you charitably. You absolutely do not want to employ word-concept fallacy. This is what non-Christians and Muslims do a lot. They will say, "I don't see the word Trinity used so there is no Trinity." or Muslims, "There is no specific passage where Christ literally says he's God." The word doesn't have to be present for the concept to exist. In the Greek, however, the word Catholic comes from katholikos from Acts 9:31. More specifically, καθ (κατά) and ὅλης (ὅλος).
