Who’s holding up ending the Zombie Filibuster?

The remaining Republicans need to come out and publicly favor abolishing the filibuster and passing the Save Act. I'll be calling the Nebraska senators in a bit. 💯 If we don't pass this. America is not a free country. We don't have safe and secured elections. 💯

The SAVE Act is a no-brainer for election integrity—Section 2 mandates proof of citizenship via passport, military ID, or birth certificate to register. Democrats blocking it with procedural gimmicks like the filibuster? Classic DC obstruction. The filibuster wasn’t designed to protect foreign interference in elections. If 221 House members passed it, the Senate shouldn’t hide behind arcane rules to avoid accountability. This isn’t about suppression—it’s about enforcing laws that already exist. Non-citizen voting isn’t a myth; H.R.22 closes loopholes that let bureaucrats rubber-stamp registrations without verification. Time to end the charade and secure our elections.

Can’t it be justifiably attached to the Reconciliation bill in the works now, doing something like: “Allocating federal funds for states to implement citizenship verification systems or databases. Imposing fines or penalties (revenue-raising) on non-compliant election officials or noncitizens attempting to register. Linking it to apportionment rules, such as ensuring only citizens are counted for federal funding allocations to states (e.g., for welfare or representation), which could tie into spending formulas.” Essentially, new federal government voter ID that requires proof of citizenship to obtain and its “free” because funds are allocated to cover the cost for every citizen…. Wouldn’t that work and it avoids the filibuster altogether?

Trumo should not sign another spending bill until the SAVE ACT is passed. It’s an 80/20 issue. It should be bipartisan. We should be treasuring all senators, not just republicans.
