While the trucks were sent by different fandoms and carried different messages, they shared a common theme: both were calling out Center 5 for their ongoing negligence in managing their groups. DB Mirror Dodge Drill - Defensive backs should focus on maintaining their initial leverage while using proper footwork and hand placement to widen the wide receiver during the release. - Defensive backs must avoid putting their near hand in during an inside release because it locks their directional hip and prevents fluid movement. - Coaches should instruct players not to press or lean into an inside release, as this often causes the defender to fall underneath the route and lose positioning. - When a receiver takes an inside release on a vertical route, the defender must burst to stack the route by fighting to get back on top of the receiver. - Players need to understand their defensive help, such as whether they are in a man-free coverage, to decide how to handle a receiver crossing their leverage. - The primary goal for a defensive back on an inside release vertical is to win the rep from the top side rather than trying to slice back underneath the receiver.
