Engaging in the type of relationship (modern marriage) that usually devolves into expensive involuntary celibacy for the man, where he must sacrifice half of everything he owns if he wants out (or if she gets bored, even despite his success)… seems like a terrible life decision.

By tier own biological nature. women will monkey branch when society is setup to allow them do this as western culture is today thanks to no-fault divorce and how the system rewards women who divorce. Prior to no-fault, women had to abide by the oath they took and so they were more careful about who they took that oath with unlike today.. Today, thanks to toxic feminism, women know they can not only walk away with Zero penalties but that they will be rewarded for doing so and so the first opportunity they get to get access to a man with more resources and or fame/respect they will monkey branch to that man.
“His money is OUR money” “Her money is HER money” Men will sacrifice their own happiness for the sake of the family. Women will sacrifice the family for only her own happiness. That’s why it’s usually only him sacrificing half, because courts favour women & thus encourage this.

@oracleJM84 This isn't really fully true, but I would say it is good advice, regardless. I actually a lot of women do stay with their husband because of status or wealth, but that is specifically when the culture and communities do not show prejudice but distaste for a divorce.

He's almost there. Women think in the abstract, we men think in concrete resolution. If you work on yourself and don't change your life to fit her whim, she will want you more. It's counterintuitive, but the less you need them the more they feel they need you. Crazy. Just work on you, be willing to let a physical 10 that doesn't bring peace go, so YOUR 10 can arrive. She may not be a 10 in looks or weight, but she'll be your 10 and fit into your life like she was made for it, which will bring peace and more joy than you can imagine. But you gotta be ruthlessly dedicated to your life, not hers.
