I had one chainsaw accident. It was really early in the morning and a tree had fallen across my driveway. I threw on some clothes still barely awake and went to cut it up. I don't even know how it happened but I went into auto pilot and did almost this exact same thing. I felt the saw hit me and I pulled it away instantly. I remember grabbing my leg and thinking "well if I just never look, it'll be fine." I looked at my pants and they were torn right to my skin and there was some deep scratching on my thigh. I still remember looking up at the sky and saying thank you God. When I got dressed to cut up the tree I grabbed a pair of those double leg thickness Carhartt pants. I had recently bought them and hated how thick they were. I remember saying "I'm never gonna wear these again." Needless to say I was happy at how uncomfortable and heavy they were that day and that I grabbed them without looking. Best money I ever spent.
