Ana Sayfaya Dön

Engineers usually build aqueducts to move maximum water volume as efficiently as possible, but Cumbemayo does the exact opposite. The channel repeatedly narrows, drops, and twists through hard rock outcrops to deliberately slow the current and create distinct acoustic rhythms as the water moves. It leaves a curious overlap...

How'd they make the water sound like a piano and stringed instrument? That's amazing!

Super cool. Would've loved to hear what you described. I already know what a piano sounds like. Slop content.

I wonder if the acoustics were actually planned to different keys for different sections? We could probably check that.

shocking how our ancestors were able to design piano water

I find it hard to believe that the original engineers had 'sound quality' as one of the design parameters. Awesome feat nevertheless and outstanding evidence of prior advanced tech.

Ancient aqueducts were NOT generally built to move a lot of water quickly, but to provide a constant steady flow

Look, what you see now as a stone was once a muddy mass in which something was embedded—something that now appears as an empty channel with right angles in the stone mass. Time has destroyed this content, leaving only an empty space. Naturally, people who have no idea what might have been there will come up with hypotheses about the channels being carved out, but nature can facilitate construction in easier ways.

Cumbemayo kỳ diệu ở chỗ dòng nước không chỉ được dẫn lối, mà dường như còn được người xưa trao cho tiếng nói.
