England and Wales need significant rainfall to end the drought, with groundwater reservoir levels continuing to decline. Above-average rainfall is needed until April next year to come out of drought, with the Environment Agency saying around 120% of typical rainfall is required over the next seven months for all...

Might actually help if the water companies cleaned out the gully’s & the drains on a regular basis instead of leaving them blocked with dried mud/muck, leaves & debris on every single street corner!!

Fix the 20% loss from leakage. And stop AI data centres from using drinking water. Also try building reservoirs – something not done since the 90s.

Four wealthy people talking about removing The triple lock these same people were up in arms about the heating allowance which took less off pensioners than removing the triple lock, it s just a game to them they get to criticise the government whatever they do, they don’t care

A picture paints a thousand words, @Lauratobin1. 8 months of flooding and rain ☔️, 7 weeks of sun and dry weather, and you say we are in a drought 😂. How do Asia, Australia, the Middle East and southern Europe cope with 5 months of sun and a fraction of the rain we receive??? You said over the summer that hot weather was bad for the economy, but it grew 0.4% in July due to guess what?? Hot weather. You're full of 💩 and please just stick to giving us the goddamn daily weather 👍🏻

Bit of a joke really seeing how wet last winter was, was still pissing down early June. Has to be a priority to build more reservoirs. Do the government have any plans for this?

I live in Kent, in Hernebay yesterday i passed a burst pipe under the road, water just pouring into the drains ! If the water authorities got on top of repairs perhaps the situation would be better. Areas around Hernebay have been surviving on bottled water at times this year

DO YOU KNOW HOW YOU STOP THIEF'S YOU GIVE THEM NO REASON TO HAVE TO - STOP CORPORATE THIEFT AND MAKE IT FAIRER FOR ALL OF US THEN TEACH PEOPLE HOW TO CONTROLL HABITS - WHAT SHOULD BE TAUGHT IN SCHOOL REALLY - HOW DO YOU MAKE THE OBVIOUS LOOK SO HARD - The 10 Most Beyond-Belief Parts of This Conversation Based on the two transcript files, here are the 10 most extreme, conspiratorial, or factually unhinged claims made during the Sarah Westall / Michael Letts interview: 1. "Military tribunals have been initiated and indictments are forthcoming" Letts claims military tribunals have been "created" and "charged," with indictments ready to be served against high-profile figures including Obama, Brennan, and Susan Rice. He presents this as an ongoing, real operation — while admitting the public won't see them until "the investigation is complete." This is a years-old conspiracy theory that has never materialized. 2. "68–70% of the deficit is caused by embezzlement, fraud, and stealing — almost 100% with interest" Letts asserts that internal documents show most of the national deficit is due to stolen money, and that when you add interest on the stolen money, it approaches 100% of the deficit. He provides no source, no document, and no verification. This is an extraordinary claim presented as fact. 3. "We have two options: military tribunals or another revolution" Letts frames the choice as either military tribunals or a 1776-style revolution — explicitly invoking the possibility of mass destruction and comparing it to dropping the atomic bomb in WWII. This is rhetoric that normalizes the overthrow of the civilian government. 4. "Congress is a mafia bigger than the mob ever was" Letts claims the corruption is a global criminal organization "headquartered" in the US, controlling the world's most powerful military and wealthiest country. He says it's the "most elaborate, most sophisticated criminal organization ever to exist in history." This is hyperbolic conspiracy framing. 5. "FEMA didn't have money for North Carolina flood victims because it was transferred to illegals — and that's why they didn't care" This is a distorted claim. Letts says FEMA's budget was moved to help illegal immigrants, which is why flood victims got no help. The reality is more nuanced (FEMA disaster relief funding is separate from other programs), but it's presented as proof of deliberate malice. 6. "They're stealing your tax money through NGOs, and Congress members sit on the boards" Letts claims Congress creates thousands of NGOs to funnel government money, and that members of Congress serve on these boards and get paid substantial sums without even attending meetings. This is presented as the mechanism of theft — but no specific evidence is offered. 7. "They're propping up Andrew Tate and Pearl Davis to accelerate moral decay" Westall claims she ran a "vocal print" analysis showing that figures like Andrew Tate and Pearl Davis are being propped up by the same forces to "help the moral decay quicken" and give people hopelessness. This is a conspiracy theory about influencer culture. 8. "The Christian base is being controlled by twisting scripture to destroy women" Westall and Letts claim that there's a deliberate effort to use Christianity to attack women — telling them they need to be subservient and shouldn't vote — as part of a broader strategy to defang and control the Christian base. Letts, an ordained Baptist minister, validates this. 9. "The justice system is a kangaroo court — judges ignore the Supreme Court" Letts claims activist judges simply "give a finger to the Supreme Court" and change a word or two in their rulings to defy them. He says the US has a "third world country kind of thing" because judges don't follow the rule of law. This is a sweeping indictment of the entire judiciary. 10. "We're in a PSY-OP war — they're so good at making it look like they care" Both speakers repeatedly frame everything as a "psychological operation" and "psy-op war," claiming the media, tech companies, and influencers are all part of a coordinated effort to manipulate the public. This framing allows any contradictory evidence to be dismissed as part of the psy-op. A note on the broader pattern: Nearly every claim in this conversation is unfalsifiable — indictments are "coming," operations are "unrevealed for national security," and evidence is always just around the corner. The conversation mixes legitimate frustrations about government corruption with extreme conspiracy theories, calls for military tribunals, and revolutionary rhetoric. It's a textbook example of how real issues can be hijacked by conspiratorial thinking that offers no verifiable path forward.
