We need more of this. No bullshit and no participation trophies. I admire this so much.

He’s so inspiring… he makes me really wanna play for him. Not. what an asshole.

@FOXSoccer Tossing in Reece James in the midfield over Mainoo. Repeatedly starting Madueke. Subs weren’t great. Tuchel also needs to get better.

This is top mentality. This is what you want in a manager

Bro is asking for perfection, and honestly at this level you lose when you make mistakes. The team who makes the least amount of mistakes wins these games. So of course he thinks they need to tighten up

What a prick. Simple as that. Let them be happy - say this shit in the locker room if you have to

He knows what he’s doing. And damnit it might just work

It’s not mentality but it’s pure mentality?? What is he saying??

replace practice with mentality lol

He’s the guy that said he may not start Jude before the World Cup, yea fukc this fu y

Just to be clear he thinks the team has a Mentality problem?

He gave the why: they have three days. The focus has to be there every minute, even through recovery. He doesn't want the players to feel satisfied with this and I think it is excellent coaching.

@JoeConchaTV At one point during the game I thought his eyeballs 👀 were going to pop out!

Madueke was too slow to start. That gave Norway life and belief. Should've stepped on their necks from the start. Saka brought directness when he came on. Midfield was abit passive too. Classic Tuchel, he does not settle nor mince his words. That's prob what England has needed

What a cunt. He starts Madueke. How the fuck can anyone take a word this wanker says serious. He’s a fraud and Jude keeps bailing him out. Fuck him and anyone thinking he has done anything. Hail Jude 💙

he’s just asking what the reasoning behind their poor tactics and mistakes. He didn’t answer and decided to throw a fit. Let me be clear, it’s him as a manager. Henry take on this incident is mad stupid.

Sounds like he doesn’t understand the definition of mentality.

@FOXSoccer I would love this if it was in the locker room. Saying this to the media minutes after making the Semifinal of the World Cup is just an odd place and time to do it. I get what he’s saying and he’s not wrong but that’s a conversation that happens to the players not the media.

What a character. Clearly has an angle, probably to send a message to the players not to feel satisfied for getting to semis, maybe even to piss them off a bit & light a fire under them. He doesn’t care how anyone else receives it

Sometimes you have to give credit to your competition. Norway made you play sloppy but you overcame and won.

Rightfully so, one thing you can’t question about this team is mentality. Mediocre journalism at it’s best.

I get what he means but Norway isn't sone shit team you can dominate & the next game won't be easy either at a World Cup sometimes you need a little luck to advance I haven't seen a perfect WC winner since maybe Brasil 2002

He's not wrong. Bellingham saved England. Kane was absent.

this guy was our chelsea manager and our owners fired him. fml this is the guy we need

My take is this a simply German coach being German. “Good enough” is not good enough. [They are former perfectionists of Europe. [Sad, what they have become.]] He knows his team and hopefully pushing the right buttons. Best of luck with ArgenFIFA.

Nah, he’s prick. First, you praise the team for getting the W in the quarters then talk about all the things to tighten up before the semis.

I get what Tuchel is trying to do but some things are best said in the locker room. He would have been better channeling his inner Mamba. #FIFAWWC #WorldCup

nothing about this is wrong. this is literally any coach's job to analyze what went wrong ( even if the team won) and not get carried away & prevent the mistakes in the next turn. every great player does this to themselves. it's so easy to get carried away mid-tournament.

It’s a language barrier. He is saying of course the mentality is there it’s the World Cup quarter finals- these guys are professionals. It’s about the quality of play

Thomas Tuchel is correct. Ironically, the teams with harsh coaches who think they’re not doing as well as they are perform better.

The interviewer trying to stir shit up fire that clown 🤡 😭😭😭

Forgive him for having high standards? They need to be much better if they want to win it. There’s nothing wrong with demanding more.

He’s spot on.

Is he mad because it was Bellingham who scored both goals and Kane was just there flopping around?

I love this. Quarterfinals ain’t shit. Semifinals ain’t shit. If you want to win it all, you have to play every game as if it’s a final. I thought they looked good, but played too loose on defense at times and gave Norway way too many chances. Good coach calling it like it is and not falling for the “we won the trap, therefore we need to celebrate.” That’s exactly how you get knocked out right at the end. England is going places with that “mentality.”
