I'm Scottish but I have English friends and colleagues at work that I get along with. But see when it comes to football, or any sort of competition rivalry, I turn into a petty patriot. I don't watch their football matches anymore as I feel churlish about wanting them to lose.

We don’t all live in the United Kingdom. I’m Scottish, not British. We were murdered and our culture was erased for centuries to the point out language is basically on the edge of extinction. Not to mention politically England swings to the right while Scotlands always been left

Some Scottish fellas decided they wanted to start their own empire & went to the american izmus to build a canal in what is called Panama today. They raised money, the idea failed & bankrupted Scotland & its people. The English had to bail them out.

We have sporting rivalries. Sport aside, we all get along no problem. When we are abroad we stick together. That said, there are people from each country which hate others because of where they were born and raised. As we know, they are racist cunts.

In my opinion England and Scotland can be split into 3 parts, as I have expertly shown. I forgot about wales because nobody cares.

Alot of it comes from history, things the people of today have never even lived through but for some strange reason have carried the hatred through generations. I'm English i love the banter between all the home nations but it goes way too far sometimes.

States aren't countries though. Maybe equate it to Canadians if a foreigner calls them American. England and Scotland are very different politically and as people. It's not really hatred it's most banter. In the UK our banter is a wee more close to the bone.
