The dumbest one in our entire language is saying been as Ben the name. Seen, queen, teen, ween, sheen, green, keen…. All pronounced the same but nooooo. Been is pronounced Ben like the name. But bean sounds like been is supposed to.

Everything you hate about the English language is because of the influence of French after the Normal conquests. So blame the French.

The English language is the most inconsistent in the rule of grammar. That's why I don't want anybody to bother me about my spoken and written English. Why should Chore be pronounced as“Chor” and Choir pronounced as “Kwier” or “Kwai”? Tell me! 😞
