Dr. Wang Bingzhang and Our Responsibility Hello friends and followers! This is Zheng Wei, speaking to you from the United States. My Twitter handle is ZhengWei. Today is September 14, 2025, and this week marks the 156th week of our campaign calling on overseas friends to “Tweet for Prisoners of Conscience.” Today, I want to talk about a name. A name that carries enormous meaning for China’s future, but one that the CCP has tried to erase, silence, and bury. That name is Dr. Wang Bingzhang. Wang Bingzhang was born in 1947, in a rural village in Xinhui, Guangdong. Through sheer determination, he was admitted to Beijing Medical College, becoming part of the very first group of elite students after the resumption of college entrance exams. In 1979, he became China’s first government-sponsored student sent to the United States, and later earned a Ph.D. in cardiovascular medicine at McGill University in Canada — the first Chinese person ever to achieve this. By all accounts, he could have chosen a safe, comfortable life in the West, rising as a leader in the medical world. But he didn’t. What he saw was the suffering of a nation. What he heard was the cry of the Chinese people for freedom. So in 1982, he made a life-changing decision. He gave up his promising medical career, and turned instead to a much more dangerous and difficult path: fighting for China’s democracy. He founded China Spring, a publication that spread democratic ideas widely overseas. For countless young Chinese, his words were the very first introduction to the concepts of democracy and freedom. He was not just an educator—he was a pioneer, a man who lit one of the very first sparks for China’s future path to liberty. This is why we say: Wang Bingzhang is a flag. He is one of the founding figures of the overseas democracy movement, and a crucial bridge between Chinese activism and the international community. His very existence proves: even in the darkest years of dictatorship, the Chinese people never gave up their pursuit of freedom. And because of this, the CCP saw him as a deadly threat. In 2002, he was kidnapped across the border by CCP agents in Vietnam, and secretly taken back to China. This was a blatant act of international criminality, in complete violation of international law. The regime then slapped him with trumped-up charges of “espionage” and “terrorism,” sentencing him to life in prison, where he remains after more than 20 years. Think about this: A man who could have shone in the world’s top academic circles, who could have lived a safe, respected life, was instead buried behind prison walls—simply because he refused to abandon his faith in freedom. This is not just his personal tragedy. This is the shame of an entire nation. And when we look at world history, we see a pattern: dictators always meet the same fate. Ceausescu, toppled by the people of Romania. Saddam, executed in Iraq. Gaddafi, dragged down from his throne in Libya’s deserts. Even today, Assad and Hasina—those so-called “old friends” of the CCP—are watching their power rot and their regimes crumble. They once seemed invincible. But in the end, all were swept into the garbage heap of history. Because in the modern world, dictatorship has no future. The CCP today may look strong—propped up by money, lies, and fear. But history has already written its verdict: its end will be no better than those who came before. So here’s the real question: Before the CCP collapses, what should the Chinese people do? And what should the free world do? For the Chinese people, we must remember: Silence is complicity. Forgetting is betrayal. It is because of people like Wang Bingzhang, Liu Xiaobo, Qin Yongmin, Xu Zhiyong, and so many others that the flame of hope has not been extinguished. For the international community, we must say loudly: The CCP is not just the enemy of the Chinese people—it is the enemy of all humankind. It infiltrates economies, manipulates public opinion, and undermines international institutions. Its goal is not only to crush the Chinese people, but to challenge the entire civilized world. Friends, Dr. Wang Bingzhang has used his life to show us the cost of freedom. History has shown us the fate of dictators. So today, let us raise our voices together: • China must be free! • The CCP dictatorship must end! • The world must stand with the Chinese people! Do not let Wang Bingzhang’s sacrifice be in vain. Do not allow history’s tragedy to repeat itself. Because resisting tyranny and defending human dignity is not only the responsibility of the Chinese people— It is the responsibility of all humanity. Thank you all. See you next weekend.

In my hometown in rural China, those still farming are mostly from the post-60s generation. Most of the post-70s generation and the post-80s generation, being only children, have moved to the cities. Once our generation leaves, there will be no one farming in the countryside. For elderly people in rural areas, farming is enough to survive; those who can't will either commit suicide or starve. Fortunately, with the significant economic downturn, many people can no longer make a living in the city, and a few have returned to the countryside. Therefore, it's crucial to retain your rural household registration, land, and homestead; it's a safety net in case you can't survive in the city. It's safe to say that in the not-too-distant future, not only will rural people in the city struggle to survive, but a large number of urban residents will also face hardship. The millions of suicides in China each year originate from these groups.

Anti-CCP Declaration — Yiqi Tang Those who do not explode in silence will perish in silence. All my political positions and actions are solely my own. They have nothing to do with my relatives or friends in China. I am from Linhai, Zhejiang Province. I oppose the CCP under my real name. Why do I oppose the CCP? I have been interested in mathematics and physics since I was young, curious about why the universe and spacetime exist. In middle school I set a lifelong dream: to study physics and pursue truth. I have never been interested in politics. The Earth is but a speck of dust in the universe, and every person on it is nothing more than an insignificant arrangement of matter. Humanity has lived and multiplied on this planet for millennia — a mere instant on the cosmic timescale. All I wanted was to study and become a physicist. But if you don't touch politics, politics will touch you. To maintain its rule, the CCP has built a brainwashing system spanning compulsory education, high school, and university: exam-oriented education turns people into test-taking machines, and political courses teach young people from childhood to submit silently to authoritarianism — tamed like lambs, slowly and deliberately. This evil, which begins with education, is unforgivable. At first I was still numb to all of this. I hadn't used a VPN, hadn't seen the CCP's true face. I simply disliked politics by instinct. But after the pandemic, the CCP imposed its inhumane lockdown policies. My own relatives suffered injustices, and at the same time I began to discover the CCP's darkness through the uncensored internet. From that moment I understood: opposing the CCP is not only my duty as a person born on that land, but also a life purpose alongside my pursuit of truth. Every human being is made of molecules, atoms, and even smaller fundamental particles — equally insignificant before the universe. Since every person is equally insignificant before the universe, no one has the right to place themselves above another. This is the fundamental reason I believe all people are born equal and born free. Yet the CCP writes lofty words in its constitution while denying the people genuine political rights and freedom of speech, building its authority on one lie after another. China under the CCP is a modern feudal dynasty and a cancer on the world. By Newton's Third Law, every force of oppression the CCP exerts on its people produces an equal and opposite reaction upon itself. And by the Second Law of Thermodynamics, the entropy of a closed system can only increase — the more the CCP blocks information and suppresses freedom, the deeper the disorder and contradictions accumulate within, irreversibly. When pressure reaches its critical point, an eruption is inevitable. This is not a political prophecy. It is the law of physics. Communism defies human nature. Its demise was written into its beginning, just like every feudal dynasty in history. Overthrow the Communist Party. Liberate the East Asian continent. Establish democratic nations — where the people of each region may choose independence according to their own will, and live freely and happily. Communist Party, you can destroy a person's body, but you cannot destroy a person's will. The spirit of freedom is eternal. I, Yiqi Tang, hereby declare: I will oppose the CCP with unwavering resolve for the rest of my life, in pursuit of truth and freedom from fear!!!🔥
