The ENM Imbalance Problem A common argument against ethical non-monogamy is that it can’t work because one person will usually have more options, attention, or dating success than the other. And honestly, that can be true. But imbalance exists in monogamy too. The real issue is whether that imbalance gets talked about honestly or used as leverage. ENM doesn’t fail just because things aren’t perfectly equal.
