Putting the lobster back in the sea was so kind of him. Hopefully, the lobster doesn't get caught again anytime soon.

Based on the size I am guessing that's a bull. They throw back the bulls (and some larger female lobsters) to help increase the population's breeding potential. In Maine (not sure where this was filmed), there are rules and regulation that require lobster-men to throw them back.
