Lane Hutson didn’t play with Suzuki and caufield that much at 5v5 lol. He mostly played with Anderson Evans newhook and so on

You guys spent years (and still do) saying that Stutzle was better than Suzuki and Brady is the best winger on either team. Now it’s “there’s no good offensive players on the sens😞” pick a lane

Pre - Hutson 2023-24 Suzuki 77 points Caufield 28 goals Post- Hutson 2024-26 Suzuki 89 & 101 points Caufield 37 & 51 goals Who is driving who on offence? It starts and ends with Hutson. Sure, deployment matters. We’ll counter with age.

Take any model you want, Sanderson has way more teammates % than Lane has. He’s always on his offside with fringe NHL players. Isn’t Zub like one of the best shutdown D in the league??

Profilbild von stickcrazzy

I mean Sanderson has also had a good d partner where has Hutson has had random trash and moving him every season Caufield and Suzuki weren’t even ppg players till Hutson showed up and Hutson drives offense so much he could easily help sens forwards get way more goals

Hutson plays on his offside mostly and literally plays mostly with the 2nd-4th liners on the team. So your point was wrong from the start

Canes fan here, I disagree. Sanderson actually came to play in R1 and he gave us fits. When Hutson was mtls second worst player statistically in the ECF and Hall/Stank/Blake/Staal/Miller just dog walked him all series, basically erased him. Hutson is beyond overrated 🌀🏆🏆

Your sleeping on Lane Hutson’s defensive play. 1. He was +24 jake sandeson was -16. 2. Lane is not huge but makes huge defensive plays with his positioning, speed and he does get physical for his size. He has more than a few highlight reel defive plays. i would take a lane hutson before jake any day. So in my opinion he is the better defender.

It’s pretty simple. The Olympic champion USA management could pick any American D they wanted. They picked Sanderson. Hockey minds that are smarter and vastly more experienced than loser fans on Twitter picked Sanderson and didn’t even want Hutson on the team.

Habs are still a bottom tier team without Lane Hutson. Everything changed for them the day he arrived.

If they swapped, Dobson takes PP1 over Sanderson because the Habs do have more than just Hutson on the backend. Also, you need to watch or do more research into the Habs. Premise is just completely wrong. Hutson's QoT 5v5 is ass.

“They have Hutson on the blue line and not much else” awesome sauce - not like they have another top 25 defenceman in the league.

Ottawas offence would get a huge boost. Hutson is one of the most effective 5on5 creators. He had the 2nd most 5on5 pts of all D. Hes in the highest rates on getting the puck in the zone, and getting to high danger areas from the point. Sandersons never had strong 5on5 production

This is why I say Hutson is Bouchard 2.0. His public perception is boosted by the fact that he’s got good forwards keeping his team in the O zone that feed him points, in his own zone the holes in his game show. A D man like Sanderson is actually solid all on every foot of the ice

I really think Sanderson is going to be one of those hyped players that ends up fizzling out and people ask what happened. Kind of like Petterson or Laine.

I would take the next 3 guys after Hutson over Hutson

Dude doesn’t watch anything yet keeps up the same argument he’s small and can’t defend. Hutson is probably our best defenceman defensively with Guhle.

Sorry what. Not much else? Noah Dobson is 9th for all “D” in 5v5pts. And Hutson was 2nd. Oh and there’s Matheson.

Boys on TSN1200 broke it down perfectly If you're down a goal, who do you want on the ice? Sandy or Hutson? If you're up a goal who do you want on the ice? Sandy or Hutson? If you are tied in playoff OT, who do you want on the ice? Sandy or Hutson?

This OP is a a dumb ass and only does bait content. Also Hutson is better overall but Sanderson is tremendous.

This is a fair Take. I think Sanderson plays with a lot more stable partners compared to Hutson who is mostly stapled to Struble but I do think Sanderson doesn’t have the quality of goal scoring in his team to show off elite playmaking consistently

If Caufield and Suzuki became that good this year don't you think Lane has something to do with that?? It's easy for haters to say "Oh he plays with Caufield and Suzuki of course he's gonna make points!" but I'm pretty sure it's the opposite, he makes everyone around him better.

Hutson took a bottom 5 team to the playoffs while winning the Calder. Sure, his defensive abilities weren’t the best in his first season but in his second season he improved drastically defensively while finishing 4th in points for defensemen while not missing a game
